Wanted suspect Bui Dinh Khanh has been arrested in Thanh Hoa.

Arrest of Bui Dinh Khanh

According to Thanh Hoa Provincial Police, by applying professional measures, at about 10:00 p.m. on April 18, 2025, the Criminal Police Department's Working Group coordinated with Dong Hai Ward Police, Thanh Hoa City, Thanh Hoa Province to arrest Bui Dinh Khanh when he was hiding in the bypass area, Le Mon Street, Dong Hai Ward, Thanh Hoa City.

Subject Bui Dinh Khanh (born in 1994, residing at group 6, area 1, Gieng Day ward, Ha Long city, Quang Ninh province) was issued a wanted decision by the Investigation Police Agency of Quang Ninh Provincial Police for the crime of illegal drug trafficking.

Previously, on the night of April 17, in the area near Dragon Castle apartment building (in group 10, zone 10, Bai Chay ward, Ha Long city), the working group of the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department, Quang Ninh Provincial Police discovered and arrested two subjects, seizing 16 heroin cakes.

The two subjects include Nguyen Huu Dang (born in 1967, residing in area 4B, Hung Thang ward, Ha Long city) and Ha Thuong Hai (born in 1994, residing in Thu Cuc commune, Tan Son district, Phu Tho province).

While the police were chasing the remaining suspects, the criminal group used military guns to attack the police force, causing Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Dang Khai, an officer of the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department, to be shot and later died.

At around 4:30 a.m. on April 18, the authorities arrested two more suspects, Hoang Van Dong and Ha Quang Son (both born in 1994, residing in Thu Cuc commune, Tan Son district, Phu Tho province).

In response to the brave actions of comrade Nguyen Dang Khai, General Luong Tam Quang, Minister of Public Security, signed a decision to promote comrade Nguyen Dang Khai from Lieutenant to Major.

Also on April 18, President Luong Cuong signed a decision to posthumously award the First Class Military Exploit Order; Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh signed Decision No. 794/QD-TTg dated April 18, 2025 to award the "Fatherland's Gratitude" Certificate to Major Nguyen Dang Khai.
