(Dan Tri) - The High School for Natural Sciences requires candidates to take an English exam in the 10th grade entrance exam.
This year, the High School for Natural Sciences increased the number of entrance exams for grade 10 from 3 to 4. Accordingly, candidates applying to the school must take 3 general subjects: math, literature, English and 1 specialized subject.
Literature and English are only used as conditions and are not counted in the admission score. The admission score is the general math subject with coefficient 1 and the specialized subject with coefficient 2. All exams are on a 10-point scale.
Regarding the exam format, English is multiple choice, literature is multiple choice combined with essay. General math and specialized subjects are essay-based, except for IT, which is a computer programming test.
The exam content is part of the general education program at the secondary level, ensuring the selection of students with talent in specialized subjects and sufficient learning capacity when studying at specialized schools.
This year, the school increased the admission fee from 450 to 600 for candidates taking 1 specialized subject and from 600 to 800 for candidates taking 2 specialized subjects.
The school's enrollment target is 525 for 5 specialized subjects: math, physics, chemistry, biology and informatics, equivalent to 2024. Each specialized subject has 105 targets.
