In addition, students also learn the steps involved in setting up a software project, such as requirements gathering, analysis, design, programming, testing, operation, and maintenance of the software.

Therefore, after graduating with a degree in Software Engineering, you can take on several job positions such as: Technical Director, Project Manager, Programmer, Bridge Engineer, Software Tester, Software Quality Assurance Engineer, IT Project Manager, Technical Manager, Software and IT Project Administrator.

Several schools offer Software Engineering programs.

Hanoi University of Industry - in 2023, the cutoff score for the Software Engineering major was 24.54 points (A00; A01). Meanwhile, the cutoff score based on academic transcripts for this major was as high as 28.43 points (A00; A01).

This year, the school is recruiting students through four methods: direct admission, admission based on high school graduation exam results, admission based on high school academic performance, and admission based on the results of a thinking skills assessment test organized by Hanoi University of Science and Technology.

The average tuition fee for the 2023-2024 academic year is 20 million VND per year. The tuition fee for the following academic year will increase by no more than 10% compared to the previous academic year.

The University of Information and Communication Technology ( Thai Nguyen University) is currently offering two software engineering programs with the following admission scores: International Software Engineering (KNU joint program) at 19.5 points and the regular Software Engineering program at 18 points. Both programs accept applications from students in the A00, C01, C14, and D01 subject groups.

The University of Science (Hue University) admits students through two methods: based on high school graduation exam scores and based on high school academic transcripts.

In 2023, the university set the admission cutoff score for the Software Engineering major at 16.5 points based on high school graduation exam scores and 19 points based on academic transcripts. Both methods considered the subject combinations A00; A01; D01; D07.

Ton Duc Thang University - in 2023, the cutoff score for the Software Engineering major was 33.7 points, with 3 subject combinations for admission: A00; A01; D01.

This year, the school is recruiting students through four methods: direct admission and priority; admission based on high school graduation exam scores; admission based on high school academic transcripts; and admission based on the results of the aptitude test administered by the Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City.

The estimated tuition fee for the 2023-2024 academic year is 28,800,000 VND per student.

The University of Information Technology (Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City) recruits students for the Software Engineering program through three methods: direct and priority admission, admission based on high school graduation exam results, and admission based on prestigious international certificates.

With the admission method based on the results of the high school graduation exam, in 2023 the cutoff score for this major was 26.9 points, with 4 subject combinations for admission: A00; A01; D01; D07.
