A simple truth
Cadres and party members are part of the people who are the masters of the country, have the extremely noble honor of being servants of the people, trained, trusted and loved by the Party, the Government and the people as the most valuable capital of the revolution. Cadres and party members are those who participate in shouldering the task of reforming society, making the country better. They are revolutionaries. And revolution is to destroy the old and replace it with the new, destroy the bad and replace it with the good.
A revolutionary - a "servant" - must do, not just talk. Truth is concrete. Practice and effectiveness of work are the measure of truth. Party members are "advanced" people, so they must do more, must reform themselves, and improve themselves. If you want to reform society but you do not reform your heart, do not resolutely do it, or do it perfunctorily, you are not worthy of being a revolutionary. Uncle Ho pointed out that anyone can talk. We need to practice. The best thing is to talk and do, setting an example for others to follow. If you tell others to be diligent, but you yourself eat lunch and sleep late; tell others to be frugal, but you yourself are extravagant and careless; tell others to be honest, but you yourself are dishonest; tell others to be righteous, but you yourself are evil, then a hundred years of propaganda will be in vain.
If you want to progress, you must study. In studying, there is doing, in doing, there is learning. If you want to do well, you must study well. If you want to study well, you must use work efficiency as a measure. Studying is to know how to reason. Without reason, you are confused like a fool. Go with your eyes closed. Having experience without theory is like having one eye clear and one eye dim. But theory must be put into practice. Practice must follow theory. Theory is like an arrow. Practice is like a target to shoot at. Having an arrow but not shooting or shooting randomly is like having no arrow. Theory is meant to be applied in practice. Merely learning by heart, speaking fluently to fool people without applying it in practice, without doing, is like “a box of books”, empty and useless theory. Separating theory from practice is not a person who knows how to theory.
Studying Uncle Ho today must always be accompanied by learning while doing. Many cadres are still superficial and vague in studying Uncle Ho. They think they know everything and understand everything. If you understand but do not follow Uncle Ho's example, how can you call it understanding? If you do not perceive correctly and understand thoroughly, how can you do correctly and well? Uncle Ho taught that subjectivity is an ideological defect. The cause of subjectivity is poor reasoning, contempt for reasoning , or empty reasoning. Subjective cadres often think that if they do as they please, there is nothing to be afraid of, so they "die politically and morally before dying physically" (Lenin's idea).
If cadres diligently study Uncle Ho, they will know that he taught: Every day, try to do one thing - no matter how small - that is beneficial to the country and the people, then in a year you will have done 365 things. Many small benefits add up to big benefits. Uncle taught those in power: Having power without conscience is an opportunity to exploit, an opportunity to take bribes, an opportunity to "use public office for private gain"; having power without morality is easy to become corrupt, corrupt, and turn into a vermin of the people.
Cadres and party members should not underestimate the importance of learning from Uncle Ho. Practice and practical activities must be guided by true theory, otherwise it will become blind practice, leading to wrongdoings that are harmful to the country and the people.
Learning from Uncle Ho, the most important thing is to truly follow his example.
Saying “ learning from Uncle Ho, the most important thing is to truly follow his example ”, means that there are other important things, second, third… but truly following his example is the most important . On the other hand, we must understand that “following” does not mean imitating, but rather steadfastly and creatively applying Uncle Ho’s ideology, morality, and style to suit the specific circumstances of each time and place. In particular, “ following Uncle Ho’s example ” means doing things with true theory to guide the way, not doing things in a formal, spontaneous, confused, or blind way.
Uncle Ho is a great man, a genius leader of our Party and nation, an outstanding culturalist. In him, words always go hand in hand with actions, theory is closely linked to practice, saying is doing. He left the Party and nation a treasure full of treasures, which is the theory of liberation - development and a shining moral example. Talking about him is talking about a noble cultural personality with the ultimate desire and loyalty to that desire, which is how to make our country completely independent, our people completely free, everyone has food to eat, clothes to wear, everyone can study. Uncle Ho became a legendary figure while he was still alive; a strange, rare person because his training and personality cultivation defeated the corruption of power.
Learning from Uncle Ho means being loyal and creative in applying his thoughts to practice in the spirit of “adapting to all changes with the unchanging”. If we are detached from reality, detached from life, detached from the trend of innovation of the country and the developments of the times, especially detached from the thoughts, aspirations and legitimate demands of the masses, then such learning is useless and very harmful to the revolution.
From Directive 23-CT/TW dated March 27, 2003 to Directive 06-CT/TW dated November 7, 2006; Directive 03-CT/TW dated May 14, 2011; Directive 05-CT/TW dated May 15, 2016; Conclusion 01-KL/TW dated May 18, 2021 to 2024 is 21 years. According to the spirit of the Central Directives, all cadres and party members have studied and followed Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle. If we do so , there will certainly not be a situation where a large number of cadres and party members have degraded in political ideology, morality, lifestyle, "self-evolution", "self-transformation". In recent years, many cadres and party members, including strategic and leading cadres, have been disciplined by the party, prosecuted, and involved in legal trouble. Those officials are certainly led by fame and profit; they work as "prisoners" of power and dollars, following individualism, so they fall downhill, beyond saving.
Following Uncle Ho's example means working under the light of Ho Chi Minh's thought, the compass for action, the magical handbook, the sun illuminating the renovation process. Uncle Ho is a great example, shining in many fields, some fields belong to the wisdom of a great man, but many fields are related to daily life such as food, water, air to breathe. Uncle Ho is the leader of the People, born from the People, serving the People.
Therefore, the most important and essential thing in following Uncle Ho's example is to work wholeheartedly, wholeheartedly, and devotedly every day and all one's life, putting the interests of the People and the Fatherland above all else, without any involvement with fame or profit. Whatever is beneficial to the people - no matter how small - must be done with all one's strength; whatever is harmful to the people - no matter how small - must be avoided with all one's strength. One must regularly and seriously self-criticize and criticize, self-reflect, and self-correct. Only then will studying Uncle Ho be practically effective, bringing back the people's trust in the Party.
Cadres and party members, especially those at the strategic level and leaders, if they do not train, cultivate, and correct their minds and hearts every day and for their entire lives, defeating the bad, the evil, the enemy within, overcoming the temptations of fame, wealth, and money to perfect themselves, sooner or later they will not be able to avoid disaster. That is a matter of law for individuals, nations, and the Party as Uncle Ho warned: “A nation, a Party, and each person, who were great and had great appeal yesterday, are not necessarily loved and praised by everyone today and tomorrow, if their hearts are no longer pure, if they fall into individualism” (Ho Chi Minh, Complete Works, National Political Publishing House, Hanoi, 2011, vol. 15, p. 672). The ruling Party and each party member and cadre must engrave in their minds Uncle Ho's golden teachings./.
