As a province located in the center of the Central Highlands, Dak Lak has an important strategic position in terms of economy, defense, and security for the region and the whole country. Thanks to a convenient road and air traffic network, easy connection with major economic centers; at the same time, located in the development triangle of the three countries of Vietnam - Laos - Cambodia, Dak Lak possesses many conditions to expand exchanges with regions throughout the country as well as international cooperation.
With the goal of exploiting all potentials and maximizing the strengths of the locality to serve socio-economic development, over the years, Dak Lak province has always been steadfast in its goal of expanding investment attraction in a multi-sector and multi-sector direction. Recently, large-scale investment projects have been continuously "poured" into Dak Lak's strong fields, creating a driving force for breakthrough growth in the "capital" of the Central Highlands.

In the period from 2021 to April 2024, the province's investment attraction situation has many positive changes, many large projects in the fields of renewable energy, processing industry, housing... have been attracted such as: KN Srepok 3 floating solar power plant, Smart housing complex combined with commercial center, Chanh Thu Dak Lak fruit processing factory for export...
In addition, a number of large projects have been completed and put into operation such as: Solar power plants: Srepok 1 Solar Power Plant, investment capital of 1,200 billion VND; Long Thanh Dak Lak Solar Power Plant combined with agriculture, investment capital of 1,272.5 billion VND; BMT Solar Power Farm, investment capital of 676 billion VND; 05 solar power projects of Xuan Thien Group in Ea Sup district with a total capacity of 600 MW, total investment capital of 15,402 billion VND; Ea Nam Wind Power Plant with a total capacity of 400 MW, total registered investment capital of 16,500 billion VND; DHN Dak Lak High-tech Livestock Area, investment capital of 550 billion VND; Commercial Center (GO), investment capital of 290 billion VND... These are projects that contribute to the process of economic restructuring, create jobs for local workers, contribute revenue to the state budget, and promote socio-economic development in the whole province.

The "sweet fruit" of attracting investment is not accidental, but the result of great efforts from local leaders in directing and operating socio-economic development in general, in supporting businesses and improving the investment and business environment in particular. The above-mentioned large projects demonstrate the great efforts of the entire political system of Dak Lak province in promoting and attracting investment.
The Department of Planning and Investment has created a strong change in the awareness of civil servants about the spirit of service and enhanced responsibility, dynamism and creativity in handling administrative procedures for people and businesses; thereby, creating an open, friendly and professional investment and business environment, fully meeting the expectations of investors.
Not only that, investment promotion work has been strongly innovated and improved in quality and efficiency, shifting investment promotion methods from passive to proactive: strengthening online investment promotion channels and applying digital technology, while focusing on on-site investment promotion to support, promptly remove difficulties and obstacles for businesses and improve the investment environment...; training and improving the professional capacity of officers performing investment promotion work.
Investment promotion activities are focused on synchronous implementation and bring about efficiency, through the contents of propaganda and promotion activities introducing the potential, investment opportunities, advantages, and key projects of Dak Lak province, creating a certain attraction for domestic and foreign investors.
Outstanding results in investment attraction have created an important driving force for Dak Lak's socio-economic growth. A series of projects by investors have contributed significantly to the process of economic restructuring, job creation, as well as contributing revenue to the state budget and promoting socio-economic development in the whole province.

Continue to innovate strongly
Currently, Dak Lak province is focusing on calling for investment in areas with outstanding strengths. In particular, the agricultural sector will promote large-scale agricultural production, strengthen linkages to improve the efficiency of commodity value chains, prioritize organic agricultural development, apply high technology; promote the formation of concentrated, large-scale livestock farming areas.
Regarding industry , Dak Lak will develop deep processing industry, renewable energy, mechanical engineering to serve production and processing in agriculture, livestock, and software industry.
Regarding construction , the province will focus on investing in infrastructure in the province's industrial parks and clusters, especially investing in building a centralized wastewater treatment system that meets standards.
In the field of trade and services, the province encourages investment and development of commercial centers, supermarkets, traditional and modern markets; develops and improves the quality and competitiveness of service industries with potential, advantages, and high added value such as: eco-tourism, finance, banking, insurance, transportation, logistics, education, healthcare, and science.
The province always identifies the investment environment as the leading factor, deciding the results of attracting investment to the locality. Therefore, the provincial leaders and departments, branches and localities always create favorable conditions for investors in implementing business projects in the province.
When investing in Dak Lak province, businesses and investors will enjoy all investment incentives according to the law; be exempted from land rent for 7-15 years (depending on the location and investment portfolio); be exempted from land rent for 25 years and have land rent reduced for agricultural processing, logistics, cultural tourism, etc. in Buon Ma Thuot city.
In addition, according to the resolution of the Provincial People's Council, experts, scientists, and talented people who come to work are exempted from personal income tax for 5 years from their salary.
The province believes that success in attracting investment will open up opportunities for Dak Lak to gradually improve its image in the eyes of domestic and international investors and friends.
