According to the Daily Mail , HMD Global first launched the Nokia 2660 Flip last year, now the company has added two new colors : Pink and Blue. The company's marketing director Lars Silberbauer said this is the company's response to the growing popularity of flip phones, and the company believes this interest comes from the need to escape the constant stream of notifications, social media posts, etc.
Pink version of Nokia 2660 Flip
Silberbauer believes that people want more simplicity, more face-to-face time, more time to think and talk without interruption. Essentially, beautiful moments in life are being ruined by a notification or a smartphone distraction, and that's why the Nokia 2660 Flip is being brought back.
The Nokia 2660 Flip is a clamshell-style flip phone that measures just 4.25 inches when folded, revealing a 2.8-inch display along with larger physical buttons without a touchscreen. While it does have a rear camera, it's only 0.3MP, much lower than the 48MP on the iPhone 14. However, HMD hopes the low-quality camera is perfect for the "lofi" style of the Y2K generation (born between 1990 and 2000).
The phone could also appeal to festival-goers thanks to its 26-day battery life and drop-resistant polycarbonate casing. HMD also didn't forget to include a feature that Nokia users love: the classic Snake game.
Nokia 2660 Flip is now available in Pink and Blue colors for around 1.89 million VND.
