On December 22, businessman Luong Hoang Anh, ex-wife of actor Huy Khanh, caused controversy with an article criticizing Vietnamese artists in particular, and Vietnamese men in general, for their habit of combining black shoes with white socks.

“When wearing a suit, you have to learn/study the minimum culture about it, as well as read the instructions carefully before wearing it. Wearing black leather shoes and white socks is very impolite, and shows that you are uncultured and of low class in Western culture,” she wrote.
Sharing about Western clothing and culture, Luong Hoang Anh used images of HIEUTHUHAI wearing everyday clothes, even with street fashion influences, to illustrate. She also used some relatively harsh words in the post, aiming to attack a group of people wearing them.
