Dak Nong Marathon 2025 - Conquering the Southern Central Highlands is hosted by Dak Nong Newspaper, in coordination with Vietpro Media Development Joint Stock Company, 5:30 Community - Healthy Every Day and the Department of Culture - Sports - Tourism of Dak Nong province.
The tournament has a scale of 4,000 athletes participating in distances of 2km (Kids Run), 5km, 10km, 21km, 42km. The tournament takes place in Gia Nghia city, Dak Nong province on May 31 and June 1, 2025.
Participants in the tournament are journalists, reporters; cadres, soldiers, union members, youth, people from districts and cities in the province and professional and amateur athletes from Marathon Clubs nationwide.
In addition to the main marathon distances, the event will also hold a Kids Run on Saturday afternoon (May 31, 2025) with the participation of about 500 students under the age of 12. They will participate in a 2km run, with a maximum completion time of 45 minutes. The Organizing Committee will award prizes to the best athletes in two age groups: under 10 years old and 10 - 12 years old.
Kids Run is a race for children under 12 years old, with a distance of 2km, one of the main activities of Dak Nong marathon 2025 - Conquering the Southern Central Highlands. All children of all ages, healthy enough, regardless of gender, region, background... can register to participate in this activity.
According to the organizers, the Kids Run activity takes place at the end of May, when children have completed their studies and are preparing for summer vacation.
Through the race, children are guided and exposed to safe running methods, exercise every day to improve physical strength and develop intelligence. The race is an interesting and useful playground for children during the summer. Through this, young talents in the field of cross-country and marathon are discovered and nurtured.
Currently, the race organizing committee is coordinating with the Dak Nong Education Department, localities, departments, branches and parents to register children to buy BIBs for the race so that the event can take place successfully.
Starting from 6:06 am on February 7, the Organizing Committee of Dak Nong Marathon 2025 - Conquering the Southern Central Highlands officially opened the registration portal (open BIB) at the website: https://actiup.net/vi/event/dak-nong-marathon-2025. From this point on, in addition to the interest of clubs, running groups, individuals, and athletes, many parents inside and outside the province have also come to learn about and order BIBs for their children to participate in the tournament.
Mr. Ho Minh Tu, who is working at Dai-ichi Life Insurance Dak Nong, said that he has introduced about 5 people in the company to buy BIBs to run different distances. Currently, his family is in Buon Ma Thuot, and it is expected that in the summer when the tournament takes place, he will buy a BIB for his daughter (9 years old) to participate in the Kids Run within the framework of Dak Nong Marathon 2025 - Conquering the Southern Central Highlands. This is also an opportunity for him to take his family to rest and have fun in Gia Nghia - Dak Nong.
Ms. Pham Thi Nhung, from Dong Xoai city, Binh Phuoc province, is looking forward to Marathon 2025 - Conquering the Southern Central Highlands. Ms. Nhung said: "After knowing that the race will be held in Dak Nong, my family registered for my children to participate in the Kids Run event combined with a trip here. This is an opportunity for my children to exercise and explore the famous tourist attractions of Dak Nong - a place that has long been heard and seen a lot on the media."
In Dak Nong, Dak Nong Runner Club has also established the zalo group DAK NONG MARATHON 2025 to recruit more members and support each other in buying BIBs. After only 1 day of establishment, this group has nearly 200 members and is being introduced and invited by members to join more.
In this group, many parents not only buy BIBs for themselves but also learn how to buy BIBs for their children, especially when the Club supports discount codes.
Most people want their children to participate in Kids Run to experience activities, exercise, have fun, visit and explore tourist attractions and scenic spots in Gia Nghia and Dak Nong.
Dak Nong Marathon 2025 - Conquering the Southern Central Highlands is an event within the series of activities to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day. The activity aims to welcome the 13th Dak Nong Provincial Party Congress towards the 14th National Party Congress.
The event contributes to promoting the image of Dak Nong land and people; responding to the Campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho" among the masses, contributing to improving health to serve study, work, production, construction and defense of the Fatherland.
Previously, in January 2024, the 5:30 Community - Healthy Every Day coordinated with the Labor Federation and Tuy Duc District Youth Union (Dak Nong) to organize the Kids Run 2024 - Stepping Up the Future, the first free children's run for children of union members and workers. Participating in the run were children in Tuy Duc district and neighboring districts.
Children of primary and secondary school age participated in the exciting competition in 3 distances of 1500m, 2000m and 3000m. After completing the registered distance, the children all received wooden environmental protection medals, 0-dong gift vouchers for booths sponsored by Thang Loi Group, and enjoyed free food sponsored by benefactors.
Representatives of Vietpro Media Development Joint Stock Company and 5h30 Community - Healthy Every Day said that in the coming time, at marathons organized in coordination with local authorities, the unit will try to put into operation Kids Run to create a useful playground for children.
