"Young and Hanoi" is a running tournament aimed at raising funds for poor students. Athletes of all ages participate in 2 distances of 3km and 10km, taking place at the My Dinh National Sports Complex.
The “Run: Youth and Hanoi” is not only a sporting event, but also a large community activity, encouraging people to participate in physical exercise and improve sportsmanship. All proceeds from the race, after deducting the cost of collecting tickets through the ticket gate, will be donated to the “Rice with Meat” program.
The “Run: Youth and Hanoi” race was held on the morning of March 23 with nearly 1,000 athletes and had an impact on more than 2,000 people in Hanoi.
The race attracted nearly 1,000 athletes from all over the capital and beyond. The 3km and 10km distances were designed to suit all ages, from beginners to professional athletes.
Tran Minh Tuan, an 11th grade IT student at Hanoi National University of Education High School, who founded the project and is also the head of the tournament's organizing committee, shared: "The race brings many values to the community. This is not only an opportunity for people to exercise, but also builds solidarity between individuals, families and friends. When participating in the race, everyone will have the opportunity to connect and share beautiful moments together.
In addition, the race is also an opportunity to raise awareness about physical and mental health. An active lifestyle through exercise not only improves health but also helps improve the quality of life."
The project not only encourages the passion for running and physical training but also raises funds to support education. All proceeds will be transferred to the “Rice with Meat” program under the “Highland Poor Students Fund”, helping to provide nutritious meals, warm clothes, school supplies and facilities for poor students in the highlands.
