From seed to harvest
On the challenging border roads, the touching story of the Quang Tri border guards, especially Major Nguyen Van Bang, has become a great source of inspiration. They have accompanied and shared with the Bru Van Kieu ethnic people to build a new, more prosperous and better life.
With the spirit of innovation, the green-uniformed soldiers have boldly brought new high-quality rice varieties such as TBR97, TBR225,... of ThaibinhSeed Group Joint Stock Company to this land, completely replacing ineffective traditional rice varieties.
At the same time, they constantly propagate and mobilize farmers to change their thinking, apply scientific and technological advances to production, and gradually abandon backward farming practices. The ultimate goal is to build a green, sustainable agriculture, contributing to improving people's lives. Thanks to that, the countryside is not only prosperous but also has a new, more modern appearance.
The golden rice fields stretch out.
Captain Khuong Hung Anh - the person who made the film said that for more than a year, the crew accompanied the Bru Van Kieu people through each crop season, recording each step of change of the fields, from traditional farming methods to promising innovations. On the same field, there are fields that still have an old appearance, with empty rice grains and low productivity. However, right next to them, new fields have bloomed with golden flowers, thanks to new rice varieties and the enthusiastic support of the soldiers.
The villagers could not help but be moved when looking at the golden rice fields stretching out. After many years of sticking with traditional rice varieties, they were truly surprised by this miraculous change. The new rice variety not only brings high productivity but also helps improve the quality of life of the whole family. The joy on the villagers' faces is like fresh flowers decorating the green rice fields. They believe that, with the help of the soldiers and advances in science and technology, their lives will become more and more beautiful.
"Language barriers and cultural distance are the biggest challenges. In order to deeply understand the thoughts and aspirations of the people, we spent a lot of time learning about and immersing ourselves in their daily lives. Only then will they truly open up and share the most genuine stories," said Captain Hung Anh.
"It was sincerity and perseverance that helped us gradually break down the walls, build trust and openness. Each film is not just an image, but also a story, a breath of life. To capture authentic moments, we had to overcome many difficulties, from finding beautiful angles to fully conveying the characters' emotions."
Captain Pham Minh Hung - Cameraman of the film shared that in order to capture the authentic images of the people's lives, the film crew had to overcome many difficulties. Choosing the camera angle and composition in natural conditions is an art. Sometimes, he had to climb tall trees, wade through streams to get the best angle. But it was these difficulties that trained the journalists to be persistent and creative.
"Each camera angle has its own meaning, which can help us tell the story more effectively. For example, when we close up on a farmer's face, we want to emphasize the hard work, but also the peace in their lives," Minh Hung shared.
Each time he and his crew moved, they brought along all the equipment, from professional cameras to lighting. Transporting things on difficult roads was a big challenge. "However, when we saw the images we captured, all the hardships disappeared. Those were happy moments, when we felt like we had contributed a small part to telling the stories of the people here," Minh Hung said.
New life in the homeland
The typical image in the film is Major Nguyen Van Bang on his journey to sow the seeds of innovation on the frontier land. From selecting new rice varieties, instructing on farming techniques to building production models, he devotedly teaches.
Thanks to that, the barren rice fields have now blossomed into golden flowers, bringing a prosperous life to the people. The image of him and the farmers working hard on the vegetable beds, rice fields, or sharing production experiences has become familiar to the local people.
Major Nguyen Van Bang.
The cheerful laughter in the fields, the sound of working machines all radiated a joy of life, a belief in the future. Difficulties seemed insurmountable, but with the spirit of a soldier, sharing, he and his teammates overcame everything.
His tireless dedication has inspired many people, arousing the spirit of mutual love in the community.
Editor Khuong Hung Anh was particularly impressed by the image of the people of But Viet village bringing fragrant bags of rice to give to the border guards. The white, plump rice grains seemed to contain the affection of the people for the soldiers who helped them change their lives. It was the result of a process of hard work and the joint efforts of the soldiers.
The beautiful act of the people is not only a gift, but also a commitment to continue to accompany the army, to build the homeland together. It is the beginning of a new life, a prosperous and happy life right on the homeland. The green rice fields stretching out, the coffee fields growing, all have painted a bright picture of a changing countryside. And the image of the border guards, the hard-working, diligent farmers are the most beautiful strokes in that picture.
"I am proud to accompany the people on the journey of innovation. The films will be a precious gift to the audience, inspiring many people. Is there anything more wonderful than witnessing strangers becoming close, working together to build a better life?" , editor Hung Anh expressed.
Khuong Hung Anh and Pham Minh Hung are both soldiers, they talk about their comrades at the border with sacred feelings and respect. That's right, soldiers, regardless of their position or mission, all carry within them a high sense of responsibility and ardent patriotism.
And the movie 'Sowing seeds on difficult land' has ended, but the journey of sowing seeds of love continues. Let's join hands to continue writing the beautiful story of sharing, of a better life for everyone. Because, each of us can become a sower, bringing joy and hope to the community.
