(NLDO) - On the peak day of the Lunar New Year, Noi Bai International Airport welcomed over 100,000 passengers and nearly 600 flights.
From 2024 to early 2025, 7 new international airlines will open flights to Hanoi, while many existing airlines will increase their operating frequency at Noi Bai airport. International transport output will therefore maintain a good growth rate, reaching over 40,000 passengers on many days, surpassing previous peaks.

Including both international and domestic, Noi Bai airport recorded stable growth in transport output, expected to increase by about 5-7% compared to usual.
According to forecast data for the week before and after Tet, on average there will be about 90,000 passengers and 550 flights through Noi Bai every day. The peak day before Tet is expected to be January 24, 2025, the 25th day of the 12th lunar month, and the peak day after Tet is February 2, 2025, the 5th day of Tet, with an estimated 100,000 passengers and 590 flights.
The port will apply level 1 enhanced aviation security control measures starting from January 26 to February 2, 2025 (ie December 27 to the end of the 5th day of Tet) according to the Decision of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam.
Noi Bai Airport proactively develops service plans to ensure absolute security, safety, and service quality for passengers to travel most conveniently.
The official application of the airport and airfield decision-making coordination model (A-CDM) since the beginning of 2024 has improved the efficiency of flight operations.
Since December 20, 2024, Noi Bai Airport has synchronously deployed a non-stop toll collection system at all toll lanes at Passenger Terminals T1 and T2, contributing to reducing congestion during peak hours. In 2024, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam has approved the operation of 2 expanded parking areas under the T2 passenger terminal expansion project, increasing the total number of parking spaces at Noi Bai from 115 to 132.
Car companies ensure enough cars to serve customers during peak hours, early morning or late night. The Port also arranges a pick-up area for technology cars at the car park, creating favorable conditions for passengers...
"Noi Bai is in the process of expanding the T2 Passenger Terminal project. During the construction and operation process, it is inevitable that there will be certain inconveniences for passengers' travel. Therefore, we hope that passengers will sympathize and cooperate with the instructions of the airline staff when carrying out procedures for flying through Noi Bai Airport. If there is anything unsatisfactory, please let us know via the suggestion box at the terminal, email, phone, fanpage and website... Noi Bai Airport is committed to considering each opinion and thoroughly resolving it to bring the best experiences to all passengers passing through the Airport" - Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, Deputy Director of Noi Bai International Airport, shared.
Note to passengers
Passengers should check flight information through the airline's channels, on the Noi Bai website, or on the iNIA app, to proactively arrive at the airport early, 3 hours in advance for international flights, 2 hours in advance for domestic flights. After completing check-in, quickly go through the security check area to enter the restricted and isolated area.
Passengers should always pay attention to preparing their flight documents, luggage, and personal belongings in accordance with regulations, and follow the instructions of airline staff during check-in procedures. Limit relatives from picking up and dropping off at the terminal; encourage the use of public transportation to reduce pressure on the terminal and parking lot. Check that the ETC card account has enough money to be automatically deducted quickly when passing through the non-stop toll lanes at Noi Bai airport.
