The Indonesian and Philippine markets are being targeted by VinFast in its plan to expand its market in Southeast Asia. Previously, on February 13, at the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2025, VinFast officially launched the VF 3 electric car model in this market.
At the same time, the company also announced a free charging program at the station system operated by V-GREEN in Indonesia lasting until March 1, 2028 for VF 3 owners and until December 31, 2027 for VF 5 and VF e34 models.
V-GREEN aims to develop 30,000 charging ports in Indonesia by the end of 2025. V-GREEN has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with multi-industry corporation Prime Group, through its subsidiary in the UAE, aiming to develop about 100,000 VinFast electric vehicle charging stations in Indonesia within the next 3 years with a total expected investment of up to 1.2 billion USD.

After only 1 year of entering the market, VinFast has broken ground on the factory, delivered 2 models VF e34 and VF 5, and expanded its sales and service network. Together with partners such as Xanh SM and V-GREEN, VinFast is gradually building an ecosystem in Indonesia.
The Indonesian government plans to produce 600,000 electric cars and put 2 million cars and 13 million electric motorbikes into circulation before 2030. To achieve this goal, Indonesia has implemented a series of incentives, including exemption from special consumption tax from 2024, exemption from import tax until 2025 and reduction of value-added tax for electric vehicles with a localization rate of 40% or more.
In December 2024, GSM Green and Smart Mobility Joint Stock Company also launched the Green SM electric taxi service in Indonesia. This is the third country with the presence of Green SM after Vietnam and Laos.
