Thousands of tourists come to the volcano to see wild sunflowers

(NLDO) - Thousands of tourists have come to Chu Dang Ya volcano to see the brilliant yellow wild sunflower fields and watch special art performances.

On November 8, at the foot of Chu Dang Ya volcano (Ia Gri village, Chu Dang Ya commune, Chu Pah district, Gia Lai province), the 2024 Wild Sunflower - Chu Dang Ya Volcano Week officially opened.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Lich, Vice Chairwoman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee, said that Chu Dang Ya is a volcano that has been inactive for millions of years, leaving behind a majestic landscape. Chu Dang Ya volcano is beautiful all year round, most brilliant in early winter, when the mountain is covered in a brilliant yellow coat of wild sunflowers.

Wild Sunflower Week - Chu Dang Ya Volcano 2024 has just opened

Chu Dang Ya Volcano has also been voted by the Vietnam Record Organization Vietking as the most attractive destination among the 10 destinations of Gia Lai province.

Taking advantage of this, in recent years, the Gia Lai provincial government has organized many special activities associated with Chu Dang Ya volcano and the image of wild sunflowers.

Through the Wild Sunflower Week - Chu Dang Ya Volcano in 2024, Gia Lai province hopes that visitors will know the sincere, warm and hospitable feelings of the Gia Lai people. The province hopes that everyone will join hands and contribute to preserving and protecting the natural landscape and environment; together preserve and promote the cultural identity of ethnic groups; seek many cooperation opportunities, attract many investment resources to develop Gia Lai province to be rich and strong, build a green plateau for health.

Coming to Chu Dang Ya volcano this time, visitors can witness artisans performing traditional sculpture carving and brocade weaving.

On November 8, thousands of tourists from all over flocked to the foot of Chu Dang Ya volcano to admire the brilliant fields of wild sunflowers. Tourists also enjoyed unique art and cultural programs of Gia Lai people; and participated in shopping for many local specialties.
