According to the Industry and Trade Newspaper, up to now, 4 transport companies have announced changes in ticket prices for Tet. Specifically, at My Dinh bus station, one company, Thai Nguyen Passenger Transport Joint Stock Company, announced an increase in fixed ticket prices from 70,000 VND to 80,000 VND (an increase of 14%).

At Giap Bat station, there are 3 units increasing ticket prices during Tet by 60%. Specifically, Thuan Y Gia Lai Trading and Service Joint Stock Company operating the Hanoi - Gia Lai route (32-bed bus) announced an increase from 650,000 VND/ticket to 1,040,000 VND/ticket from February 1 to February 11, 2025; Hung Thang Gia Lai Company Limited also operating the Gia Lai - Hanoi route increased ticket prices from 1,000,000 VND to 1,600,000 VND/ticket from February 1 to February 11, 2025; Hai Van Transport and Tourism Service Company Limited operating the Hanoi - Da Nang route increased from 385,000 VND to 616,000 VND from January 29 to February 13, 2025. With VIP Luxury Limosine, ticket price increased from 700,000 VND to 1,120,000 VND/ticket.

Ensuring peak demand during Tet

Faced with the high demand for travel during Tet, Hanoi Bus Station Joint Stock Company requests that bus stations closely coordinate with local police forces to develop plans to ensure security and order at the stations, inspect and prevent the transportation of explosives, prohibited goods, counterfeit goods, and eradicate social evils such as gambling and touts. At the same time, promptly prevent and handle disturbances and illegal acts at bus stations.

In addition, for Giap Bat Bus Station, the risk of traffic jams will increase abnormally due to the impact of the blockade of Kim Dong Street to serve the construction of the Kim Dong - Giai Phong intersection tunnel project, which will greatly affect the operation of the station. Therefore, the bus station must proactively develop detailed operating scenarios during the holiday service period.

In particular, Hanoi Bus Station Joint Stock Company requests that bus stations absolutely do not allow overloaded vehicles or sell tickets at higher prices than registered prices; ensure that all passengers on the vehicle have tickets before the vehicle leaves the station.

At the same time, resolutely do not allow vehicles that do not meet standards, are of poor quality, are overloaded, have goods mixed with passengers, or have vehicle owners who drink alcohol or use stimulants... to leave the station to ensure the safety of people and property for passengers.

To ensure the good implementation of the Tet service plan to meet the travel needs of the people, the Hanoi Department of Transport requires the bus station operators under the Hanoi Transport Corporation (including Giap Bat, My Dinh, Gia Lam, Yen Nghia bus stations) and Nuoc Ngam bus station to strictly inspect and control vehicles entering and leaving the station to register to pick up and drop off passengers, check the quality of vehicles, drivers, goods, and luggage according to regulations; check passengers showing signs of bringing flammable substances, prohibited goods and luggage onto vehicles and promptly prevent and handle violations if detected.

In particular, the Department of Transport requires units and businesses to clearly post ticket prices for routes at approved prices; refuse service to vehicles and vehicle owners that do not meet the prescribed conditions and standards.

In order to minimize the jostling and pushing of passengers to get on the bus, the Department of Transport requests that inter-provincial passenger transport businesses at bus stations proactively coordinate with bus stations to organize online ticket sales for passengers. At the same time, bus stations need to declare and post prices and absolutely not take advantage of the high number of passengers during the Lunar New Year to increase prices at high levels, collect higher than the declared prices and develop a price plan according to reasonable costs incurred.
