Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee said it has received Official Dispatch No. 1205 from the Government Office notifying the Prime Minister's opinion on the investment plan to build the Quy Nhon - Pleiku expressway through Gia Lai and Binh Dinh provinces.
Accordingly, after reviewing the report and recommendations of the Ministry of Transport, the opinions of the Ministry of Planning and Investment, and the Ministry of Finance on the investment plan to build the Quy Nhon - Pleiku expressway through Gia Lai and Binh Dinh provinces, the Prime Minister agreed to approve the transfer of investment research under the PPP method to public investment.
The Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Transport to preside over and coordinate with the People's Committees of Gia Lai and Binh Dinh provinces to prepare a pre-feasibility study report for the project in accordance with the law. At the same time, coordinate with the Ministry of Planning and Investment and the Ministry of Finance to determine the ability to balance the capital of the central and local budgets participating in the project to ensure feasibility and efficiency and submit it to competent authorities for consideration and decision on the project investment policy in May 2025.
The Quy Nhon - Pleiku Expressway project has a total length of about 123km (the section through Binh Dinh is about 37.4km long, the section through Gia Lai is about 85.6km long); scale of 4 lanes, design speed of 100km/hour.
The total preliminary investment of the project is more than 36,000 billion VND, of which the cost of site clearance is about 3,733 billion VND; construction and equipment costs are about 26,833 billion VND; investment consulting, project management, and other costs are about 2,012 billion VND; contingency costs are about 4,015 billion VND...
