Vinh Phuc Fine Arts - Journey of innovation and development

In early 2025, the Spring Newspaper Festival and Fine Arts Exhibition "Renewing and Developing Vinh Phuc" were held to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025), the 75th anniversary of the founding of Vinh Phuc province (February 12, 1950 - February 12, 2025), the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025) and celebrate the Spring of At Ty 2025.

The exhibition displays 50 paintings and sculptures created by Vinh Phuc artists recently. The works on display have diverse and rich materials and techniques, focusing on introducing, promoting and spreading vividly the beauty of the land and people of Vinh Phuc, the typical achievements on the journey of integration, innovation, development, the construction of new rural areas, and the new life of the people of all ethnic groups in the province.

Last March, the Provincial Literature and Arts Association organized the fine arts exhibition “Homeland”, aiming to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Vinh Phuc Literature and Arts Association (1975 - 2025). The exhibition displayed nearly 100 works, clusters of paintings, graphics, sculptures; new works, clusters of decorative fine arts. The works focused on promoting and vividly reflecting the beauty of life, the beauty of the land and people of Vinh Phuc, creating a rich and valuable cultural space.

In just the first 3 months of 2025, Vinh Phuc successfully organized 2 fine art exhibitions on the theme of Vinh Phuc land and people. This shows that Vinh Phuc fine arts have developed strongly and are becoming closer to the public. The fine art works are the crystallization of the emotions, talents, efforts, and diligence in the creative work of the artists; contributing to enriching the spiritual life, nurturing the soul, morality, personality, creativity, patriotism, civic responsibility, pride, and self-respect for the traditions and history of the people, especially the young generation.

Comrade Bui Xuan Thanh, Chairman of the Provincial Literature and Arts Association, said: Currently, the Fine Arts Association, under the Provincial Literature and Arts Association, has 38 members. The artists are actively creative, vividly depicting the lives of the people through paintings and sculptures. Vinh Phuc Fine Arts is considered the top in the Viet Bac - Tay Bac region. Vinh Phuc artists always have the largest number of works displayed at regional exhibitions, especially sculptures. In regional fine arts exhibitions, national exhibitions, national festival exhibitions, provincial and national propaganda painting exhibitions, Vinh Phuc has continuously won high awards.

In 5 years (2019 - 2024), the branch has 39 works winning regional and national awards. Of which, the regional awards include 3 B prizes, 1 C prize, 4 Encouragement prizes. In the national award, the branch members won 2 First prizes, 1 Second prize, 2 Third prizes. In the Youth Festival Exhibition, Vinh Phuc painter won 1 Encouragement prize. In the 5-year award for Literature and Arts, the branch members won 1 A prize, 4 B prizes, 3 C prizes and 3 Encouragement prizes.

Some young artists have organized solo exhibitions in the capital Hanoi and Vinh Phuc, which have been highly appreciated by the public, such as the "Midlands" exhibition by painters Le Pham Hien and Trieu Ngoc Thach; the "Hanoi - Saigon" sculpture exhibition by painters Nguyen Duy Manh and Thai Nhat Minh; the exhibition by a group of painters Bui Hieu, Nguyen Xuan Dem and Le Chung; the solo exhibition by painter Quynh Thom; the "Connection" exhibition by painter Dao Hong Van; the sculpture and ceramic exhibition by painter Nguyen Luu and sculptor Nguyen Hong Quang...

Every year, the Provincial Literature and Arts Association coordinates with units to organize creative camps for members of branches, including the Fine Arts Association; encourages members to attend the Fine Arts Exhibition of Region III (Viet Bac - Tay Bac) and creates conditions for authors to participate in national exhibitions.

The Association of Literature and Arts advises and proposes to the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Committee and relevant agencies to organize exhibitions and display fine art works on the occasion of major holidays of the province and the country; encourages artists and groups of artists to organize individual exhibitions and displays. Thereby, artists have more motivation to create quality fine art works, rich in value and artistic content, depicting the beauty of the land and people of Vinh Phuc, and the typical achievements of the province on the journey of integration and development.
