Nine other houses, mostly in Hoa Vang district, had their roofs stripped off by storm Tra Mi. In the photo, the roof of a house in Hoa Khuong commune (Hoa Vang district) was ripped off by the storm. Early in the morning of October 27, the storm's winds were very strong, but by mid-afternoon the winds had eased and the rain had lessened. |
In Hoa Bac commune (Hoa Vang district), more than 50 houses were flooded due to heavy rain. Many roads had to be blocked, preventing people from traveling to ensure safety. By late afternoon, the water in this area began to recede. |
During storm Tra Mi, Da Nang had more than 900 trees fall, mostly in Cam Le and Hoa Vang districts. The forces sawed and cleared the fallen trees blocking the road so that people could move about. |
Nhu Nguyet Street (near Thuan Phuoc Bridge) was flooded by rising river water, and large waves damaged and dislodged sidewalk tiles in many places. Authorities have directed the road management contractor to issue warnings, ensure traffic, and repair sidewalk damage. |
The Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense of Da Nang City added that to ensure safety, the city has evacuated 1,719 households/6,171 people to a safe place. |
After moving deep into the mainland provinces of Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam - Da Nang, storm No. 6 weakened into a tropical depression. From the evening of October 27 to the end of October 28, Da Nang had continued to see moderate rain, with some places having heavy rain, with a total amount of 40-100mm, some places over 120mm. |
