On September 16, according to the People's Committee of Thong Nhat Ward, Pleiku City, Gia Lai, the locality is coordinating to verify the incident of dozens of students suffering from stomachaches and vomiting after a Mid-Autumn Festival party at school.
Previously, at around 9:50 a.m. the same day, on the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival, the Parents' Committee of class 7/1 (Ton Duc Thang Secondary School, Pleiku city) organized a party for the students.
In addition to candy, each student also drank a cup of milk tea. The milk tea was purchased from a tea shop on Phung Hung Street, Pleiku City.

A while later, many students showed signs of stomachache, nausea, and dizziness. Immediately after that, the Board of Directors notified the Ward Health Station to come and check.
Through inspection, out of 45 students in the class, 21 showed symptoms of stomachache, dizziness, and vomiting. Of these, 17 students were taken home by their parents for monitoring, while the other 4 students were taken to medical facilities for monitoring.
After the incident, the People's Committee of Thong Nhat Ward directed the Health Station to report to the Pleiku City Health Center to continue investigating, verifying, and taking food samples; and at the same time regularly monitoring the health status of the students.
