According to the French Ambassador, Balade en France 2025 is scheduled to take place from March 28 to 30 at Thong Nhat Park. The scale of this year's event will be expanded, with the participation of embassies of member countries of the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF) in Hanoi, along with booths introducing French-language teaching and education to promote the Francophone movement in Vietnam.

Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh sincerely thanked Ambassador Brochet for his invitation to attend the event, and affirmed that this event will enrich cultural exchange activities in the capital. Chairman Tran Sy Thanh also assigned the Hanoi Department of Foreign Affairs to be the focal point to discuss and coordinate with the Hai Ba Trung District authorities to create the most favorable conditions for organizing the event.

Regarding the agricultural wholesale market project in Hanoi, Ambassador Brochet said that the French Semmaris Group has made initial agreements through regular contact with Viettel Post company regarding the supply chain.

Currently, the city's Department of Planning and Investment is calling for domestic and foreign investors to participate in this project.

Ambassador Olivier Brochet also affirmed that France is ready to accompany Hanoi City in solving the problem of air pollution. He said that France and Germany have a joint project to solve this problem through the construction of air quality monitoring stations, with an operating fund of up to 8 million Euros.

"Currently, the French Institute for Research and Development (IRD) has sent representatives to Hanoi, coordinating with the University of Science and Technology of Hanoi (USTH) to conduct research on air quality in the city," the French ambassador said. "The research team is ready to contact and cooperate with Hanoi authorities if agreed by the City People's Committee."

Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh welcomed the idea, emphasizing the need to comprehensively study the causes of pollution in order to propose effective solutions. In that spirit, the city government will assign the Hanoi Research and Development Institute, in coordination with the Institute of Environmental Science and Technology, to conduct research and share data with partners in France.

The elevated urban railway project was another important issue discussed during the meeting. Ambassador Brochet expressed his pleasure at attending the opening ceremony of the elevated phase of Metro Line 3. He said that the French side is ready to work with the parties to resolve legal issues, and proposed to hold a meeting after the Lunar New Year to find a common solution between the parties.

Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh also emphasized the importance of completing the project on time in 2027, and wished to continue negotiations so that the parties could soon reach a common agreement.

At the end of the meeting, Ambassador Olivier Brochet informed about the upcoming visit to Vietnam by French President Emmanuel Macron, scheduled to take place at the end of May this year. He hoped that many cooperation projects between the two countries would be signed on this special occasion to strengthen bilateral relations.
