Creating attraction for Quang Ngai tourism

There are several issues surrounding this story that need to be fundamentally resolved. It is not enough for us to have Ly Son as a “hot” tourist destination. The beginning of tourism on Ly Son Island was “tourism for patriotism”. That slogan is very correct, very appropriate, but cannot be prolonged. When Ly Son becomes a “normal” tourist destination like many other sea and island tourist destinations in the world, we do not have truly suitable projects for development.

Let's take a look at Jeju Island tourism in Korea. Jeju Island is larger than Ly Son Island, but whether it is big or small is not as important as when tourists come to Ly Son or Jeju, they will receive something truly new and attractive to them, so that tourists can "go once and come back". Jeju knows how to take advantage of the smallest natural advantages to serve tourism development, such as the black stone items that are abundant on this island. And they know how to do marketing, create an image brand for the island known as a "resort paradise", enough to attract tourists from all over the world.

Quang Ngai’s tourist attractions must be spread from the coastal to the mountainous areas, including tourism in the plains. We have potential tourist attractions in mountainous districts such as Ba To, Tra Bong, Son Tay, Son Ha, but they have not been “awakened” for a long time. Mountain tourism is different from sea and island tourism, and to take advantage of that difference, we must invest. For example, Ton Dung Lake and grasslands in Bui Hui, Ba Trang Commune (Ba To) can become tourist attractions with strong mountainous characteristics. As for Ca Dam Mountain (Tra Bong), it is completely possible to become a tourist destination to explore and enjoy the climate and specialties of the highlands.

For Son Tay district, if we read the book “Old traces on the mountainside - A region of Ca Dong identity” by Dr. Nguyen Dang Vu, we will feel that this is a region full of unique identity not only in nature but also in people. The Ca Dong ethnic group lives on the mountainside, they are very close to the way of life on the mountainside of the Mong people in the Dong Van stone plateau. When Dong Van and Meo Vac have become world-class tourist destinations, in fact, very few people know about Son Tay of Quang Ngai.

Quang Ngai also has many historical, spiritual and highly educational tourist attractions, one of which is Dang Thuy Tram tourist attraction. Heroine, martyr, doctor Dang Thuy Tram is the pride of Quang Ngai and Vietnam. For a long time, we have had Dang Thuy Tram infirmary, which needs to be converted into a Dang Thuy Tram museum. As for Dang Thuy Tram infirmary located on the mountain, it should be built into a spiritual destination for people to visit and remember Ms. Tram. Hopefully, after construction, this place will attract a lot of domestic and international visitors, because the world has known about Ms. Thuy Tram's example after reading "Dang Thuy Tram's Diary" which was translated, printed and published in many countries around the world.
