Hanoi leaders include: Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong; Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the City People's Council Phung Thi Hong Ha; leaders of the City Party Committee's Party Committees, socio-political organizations; former Secretaries of the Hanoi Youth Union through the periods.
Speaking at the program, Secretary of the Hanoi Youth Union Chu Hong Minh reviewed the 93-year journey of building, contributing and growing of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and emphasized that during that journey, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Hanoi and the youth of the capital have always affirmed their boundless patriotism, loyalty and absolute trust in the leadership of the Party, in the ideal goals of national independence and socialism.
The Secretary of the Hanoi Youth Union said that throughout its development journey, the Union has constantly innovated, inherited and promoted the values and traditions of previous generations to better perform the functions and tasks of its organization. In each revolutionary period, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union has gradually matured and truly become the core political organization of Vietnamese youth.
The history of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Hanoi is always associated with the history of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, and at the same time always inherits and promotes the revolutionary struggle tradition of Vietnamese youth, the heroic, talented and elegant tradition of Hanoi people.
"That tradition has been inherited and continued by today's youth in a worthy manner. Hanoi youth always affirms that they are an advanced, dynamic, creative, steadfast youth in the face of difficult challenges, ambitious, enthusiastic in competing in labor production, study, scientific research, self-reliance, and entrepreneurship; proactive, volunteering to contribute to building and protecting the capital and the country" - Secretary of Hanoi Youth Union Chu Hong Minh affirmed.
In recent times, the Hanoi Youth Union has launched and organized a political activity within the entire Union with the theme "Firm belief - Proudly moving forward" towards the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam; the forum "Aspiration to contribute, the reason for youth to live" to celebrate the 93rd anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union; effectively implemented one good news a day, one beautiful story a week on social networks, issued propaganda outlines and visual media publications to celebrate the 93rd anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union... The Youth Union at all levels has organized many programs and activities to create an environment to support and encourage union members and young people to promote the spirit of initiative, volunteerism, and creativity in participating in economic and social development and national defense.
The Secretary of the Hanoi Youth Union said that a new journey of the capital's youth, of the city's Youth Union, is opening up with many opportunities, but also many difficulties and challenges. With absolute loyalty to the Party, to the nation, with the spirit of dedication and the bravery, intelligence and creativity of the youth, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the city will constantly innovate the content and methods of operation; do a good job of education towards building a generation of the capital's youth who are patriotic and self-reliant; steadfast in the ideals of national independence and socialism; have revolutionary ethics; are aware of law enforcement, live a cultured life, and are responsible for the community; strive to study, practice and follow the ideology, morality and style of Ho Chi Minh, thereby building a generation of the capital's youth in the new era of "Pioneering - Exemplary - Solidarity - Responsibility - Creativity - Integration - Development".
Along with that, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Hanoi will effectively organize revolutionary action movements of the Union in conjunction with the implementation of professional tasks of the locality, unit and political tasks of the city to strongly promote the vanguard role of the youth.
At the program, 70 outstanding Capital Youth Union officials in 2023 were recognized and rewarded.
