Kinhtedothi-International Youth Day - For a peaceful world is an opportunity for young people in the capital to exchange and promote the culture and tourism of Thang Long - Hanoi to international friends; demonstrate the spirit of peace, strengthen solidarity and friendship of young people and students in the capital.
On November 9, at Hanoi University, the Hanoi Youth Union organized the 3rd International Youth Day - 2024 with the theme For a World of Peace. This is an activity to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital and the 25th anniversary of Hanoi being honored as a "City for Peace".
The International Youth Festival 2024 will be attended by representatives of embassies in Hanoi; famous artists and nearly 3,000 Vietnamese and international youth living and studying in Hanoi.
Speaking at the program, Secretary of the Hanoi Youth Union Chu Hong Minh said that in recent years, Hanoi's international youth work has had new developments with many outstanding results: foreign political activities and friendly exchanges have been promoted by the Hanoi Youth Union, with diverse partners, scale and types of activities.
The Hanoi Youth Union has successfully organized many large-scale activities of important political significance, regularly maintaining and expanding cooperative relations with youth and student organizations, especially strengthening relations with youth organizations of capitals in the region and around the world.
The image of Hanoi as a "Safe - Friendly" destination is increasingly introduced, widely promoted and highly appreciated by international organizations.
In addition to cultural, tourism and trade integration, the City Youth Union pays special attention to consulting on methods to improve the effectiveness of training and fostering international students studying, researching and working in Hanoi. Thereby, helping international friends better understand the customs, cultural traditions as well as the country and people of Vietnam, promoting the connection and friendship between Vietnam and other countries.
According to the Secretary of the Hanoi Youth Union, the Festival is an opportunity for us to introduce the cultural traditions, potentials and socio-economic achievements of the capital Hanoi and of Vietnam. This is an opportunity for the young people of the capital to exchange and promote the culture and tourism of Thang Long - Hanoi to international friends; demonstrate the spirit of love for peace; strengthen the solidarity and friendship of the youth, students and people of the capital.
At the same time, this is a healthy and useful cultural, artistic and sports playground that contributes to improving the cultural and spiritual life of young people in the capital and internationally.
The Festival will feature the following activities: Cultural space of countries around the world; the second International Youth Friendship Movement Run “For a Peaceful World”; an art exchange program between the capital’s youth and youth from other countries; a contest to learn about the cultures of countries around the world; International youth experience Citytour to visit famous landmarks of the City .
