At 5:13 p.m. on June 29, Hanoi announced the 10th grade exam scores. The valedictorian of the exam was Nguyen Hoang Minh Quan - a 9A student at Hanoi - Amsterdam High School.
The exam scores were announced 4 days earlier than the previous schedule of July 2.
The benchmark review schedule is therefore also pushed up earlier.
Specifically, at 8:00 a.m. on July 1, the Department met with school principals to approve admission scores for specialized classes, bilingual classes, and bilingual classes.
1:00 p.m. July 1, the Department approved the benchmark scores for non-specialized grade 10 admission.
It is expected that between July 1 and July 4, the Department will announce the benchmark scores.

Last year, the Department announced the benchmark scores right after the score review meeting on the afternoon of July 1.
In Hanoi's 2024 10th grade exam, 117,361 candidates registered to take the public 10th grade exam. Of these, about 106,000 candidates registered their first choice for non-specialized 10th grade.
Hanoi's public 10th grade quota this year is approximately 81,000, an increase of about 4,000 compared to 2023. Thus, there will be about 25,000 candidates who fail the public exam.
