Not dry theoretical lectures, the sharing session is led by real-life stories and typical situations that anyone can encounter when living and studying in a digital environment.
Students learn how to proactively protect themselves online
Interestingly, the speakers standing before the students were none other than university students sitting in the lecture hall.
During the exchange, students shared useful knowledge about how to use social networks safely, distinguish between right and wrong information, and especially how to protect themselves from potential risks in cyberspace.

Real-life situations presented during the consultation, such as how to identify fake news, how to handle requests for personal information, or how to protect private images and data online, received special attention and heated discussion from the students.
Thanh Nhan - a student of class 12A5 - asked: "When using social networks, the risk of being attacked by hackers is easy to encounter, so how can we know what is right and protect our personal profile?".
In response, Hoai Trong, one of the students participating in the consultation session, gave advice: "Social networks are an open information space. Therefore, when receiving information, you should choose official sites such as Government Information, Tuoi Tre Newspaper... to ensure accurate information and avoid being scammed and fake news."
Trong also noted that when encountering information of unknown origin, students should not rush to click on links or share information without checking its authenticity.
"We need to be extremely careful when commenting on an issue on social networks," Trong added, because thoughtless actions can cause serious consequences, from spreading false information to violating other people's privacy.
The students’ sharing not only helps students better understand cyber security but also arouses a deep interest in building and protecting personal image on social networks. This is an opportunity for students to realize the importance of using information responsibly and ensuring their own safety in the volatile online world.

Dr. Dau Thanh Vinh - Principal of Dong Nai Pedagogical Practice School - shared that communication is currently a field that many young people are interested in. Therefore, equipping students with awareness of cyber security, recognizing its role and impact in life is extremely necessary.
He also emphasized that in addition to helping students know how to use social networks safely, orientation sessions like this also play an important role in helping them have more foundations to choose careers, build relationships in life, friendship, and love in a healthy way.
"Although it was just a sharing session, the way the students organized it created a very lively and festive atmosphere. The students felt comfortable and happy, thereby absorbing knowledge naturally and actively discussing with each other. This is a suitable approach, helping them to systematize their knowledge about social network security effectively," commented Mr. Vinh.
"Practical" skills learned from Tuoi Tre newspaper
Ms. To Thi Bich Loan - lecturer of the Faculty of Creative Communication, Nguyen Tat Thanh University - commented that with the foundation of specialized knowledge in communication that was systematically studied at school, along with the process of practicing practical information skills on Tuoi Tre newspaper, the students had a way of exploiting information, creating interactions with students that were extremely creative, skillful, easy to understand and suitable for the students' age.
Nguyen Duong Hoai Trong, a student of the 22nd class of the Faculty of Creative Communication, Nguyen Tat Thanh University, said: "Before standing in front of my classmates to discuss the topic, I was quite nervous. However, thanks to feeling the excitement and positive interaction from my friends, I gradually regained my confidence."
Trong said that before participating in this consultation session, he had been thoroughly studied and trained in knowledge related to social networks, information exploitation skills, and ensuring safety in the digital environment. In particular, during his studies and internship at Tuoi Tre newspaper, he had the opportunity to approach reality, understand more about processing, verifying and transmitting information accurately and responsibly, so sharing also became more confident.

Through this lesson, I have a better understanding of how to build a personal brand - a topic that I am very interested in. In addition, I also realized the importance of evaluating the value of information, knowing how to consider and be responsible before sharing anything on social networks. Most importantly, I have learned how to ask questions and verify information before believing it.
Closer to students through student participation
According to Associate Professor Dr. Vu Quang Hao, Head of the Faculty of Creative Communication, Nguyen Tat Thanh University, this is an annual community activity of the faculty and the school, aiming to equip students with important skills when exploiting, using and providing information on social networks safely and responsibly.
"In addition to the teachers, lecturers and communication experts of the department, this activity is very special because of the participation of students and young people, contributing to making the sharing session closer, more familiar and attractive to students," said Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Quang Hao.
