Instead of having to carry a wallet like before, many people now only need to bring a phone with internet connection when going to the market.
Cau Giay District People's Committee has just launched the model "Smart Market 4.0 - cashless" at Dong Xa market (Mai Dich ward).
In recent times, Cau Giay district has implemented many good models and new ways to promote digital transformation in all aspects of social life. In particular, digital transformation activities in trade and service activities have received investment attention to contribute to accelerating the digital transformation process and developing the digital economy of the capital in general and Cau Giay district in particular.
Promoting digital transformation in traditional markets is both an inevitable requirement and a need to promote effective business activities. Based on the above reality, the People's Committee of Cau Giay District has piloted the model "Smart Market 4.0 - No cash" at Dong Xa market.
Hanoi deploys many 4.0 market models |
Accordingly, the Cau Giay Market Management Board and the People's Committee of Mai Dich Ward actively propagated and mobilized, gradually raising awareness among people, especially small traders, along with the efforts and determination of the entire political system, thereby creating consensus and support from people and small traders in implementing cashless payments at the market and deploying the application of product traceability stamps.
Cau Giay Market Management Board has also been actively applying digital transformation in market management activities such as: building a fanpage at the market to promptly post information about market activities on the public forum, actively checking and publicly announcing food quality to ensure food safety and hygiene so that people know and trust to buy goods...
In Ba Vi district, the model "Market 4.0 - Cashless payment market" was also deployed in June 2024 at Quang Oai market, Tay Dang town. The stalls of small traders were arranged and installed with QR code scanning boards for payment via bank applications at the sales counters inside and outside the market.
At Mo Market, Van Thang Commune (Ba Vi District), there are 46 stalls, of which 46/46 have been equipped with QR Code scanning, 100% of people who come to shop at the stalls have made payments by scanning QR codes. All traders and people only need a smartphone to be able to buy and sell goods at the market by scanning QR codes, or transfer money digitally via Viettel Money, a bank app, extremely quickly and conveniently.
The implementation and replication of the 4.0 market model will promote digital transformation and the application of information technology in general trading activities and cashless payments in particular.
