With Polish, Gmail users can turn rough notes into more polished, accurate drafts. In addition to Polish, Google is also adding “Help me write” and “Refine my draft” shortcuts on Android and iOS devices.
Accordingly, when users are using Gmail on Android or iOS devices and have an empty email draft, the "Help me write" shortcut will appear in the email body. Once selected, it will open the entire experience to help users compose better emails.
Meanwhile, the “Improve my draft” shortcut will appear when there are at least 12 words written in the user’s email draft. On the other hand, to indicate the additional options available, including Polish, Elaborate, Formalize, Shorten, etc., this shortcut will be displayed below the email’s body.
Google says the new feature is enabled by default. The search giant also confirmed a "Help me write" option to improve email drafts, as well as keyboard shortcuts already available on Android and iOS.
