The road traffic infrastructure system is developed, with many connecting routes promoting the development of tourist areas and spots in Ca Mau province.

On January 7, according to information from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ca Mau province, in 2024, the total number of visitors to Ca Mau will be more than 2.1 million, an increase of 3.5% over the same period in 2023. Total revenue is estimated at 3,080 billion VND, an increase of 6% over the same period.

The Ho Chi Minh route to Dat Mui was completed and put into use, contributing significantly to the development of intra-provincial, inter-provincial and international tourism routes.

The above results were achieved thanks to the strong focus on tourism development in the province, the efforts of all levels, sectors and localities. Since then, people's awareness of the importance of tourism development, the participation of organizations and individuals in tourism activities has become increasingly active.

Attention should be paid to developing infrastructure and technical facilities for tourism, especially basic smooth road traffic infrastructure, ensuring connectivity to main tourist destinations (Mui Ca Mau tourist area, Khai Long, Mui Ca Mau National Park, U Minh Ha National Park, Hon Da Bac, Thi Tuong Lagoon...).

Specifically, the Ca Mau - Nam Can - Dat Mui routes; the connecting route from the southern bank of Song Doc River to Dam Thi Tuong; the East - West route; the bridge over Ong Doc River... basically ensure convenience for tourists to visit the points on the province's key tourist routes.

The Southern Coastal Corridor route through Thoi Binh district (Ca Mau province) creates conditions for Ca Mau province to attract investment and develop tourist attractions to attract visitors.

In particular, the Ho Chi Minh route to Dat Mui and the Southern Coastal Corridor route contribute significantly to the development of intra-provincial, inter-provincial and international tourism routes.

Taking advantage of the smooth road traffic infrastructure system, in the coming time, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ca Mau will coordinate and support units to implement the projects: Dat Mui Cultural Tourism Village; Developing the night-time economy of Ca Mau province; Eco-tourism, resort and entertainment of U Minh Ha National Park.

Notably, the project "Piloting the operation of four-wheeled electric vehicles to transport tourists in restricted areas in Ca Mau city" is worth noting.

Currently, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is completing the Project on tourism development in Ca Mau province until 2030, with a vision to 2050, to submit to the Provincial People's Committee for approval.
