Connecting buses and parking

The news that the first metro line in Ho Chi Minh City will officially operate on December 22 has made many people very happy and excited. Mr. Ngo Minh Quyen (32 years old, living in Thu Duc City) said that when the first metro line is put into operation, it will create favorable conditions for people and students to travel from the suburbs to the center of Ho Chi Minh City quickly and safely. "What I care about now is how to get to and from the stations, whether I can park my personal vehicle at the stations or not, or how to take the bus to these stations," said Mr. Quyen.

"From the city center to the new Mien Dong bus station is too far, now that there is a metro line, people can get to the bus station faster and safer. However, I also have a question, if I take the train from Ben Thanh station in District 1, where should I park my motorbike?", Ms. Mai wondered.

Informing reporters, a representative of the Ho Chi Minh City Urban Railway Company No. 1 said that metro passengers from Ben Thanh Station can park their vehicles at the September 23rd Park parking lot. This parking lot can accommodate 1,000 two-wheeled vehicles and 70 cars. For other stations, the Ho Chi Minh City Urban Railway Management Board and other units are completing private parking lots, pedestrian paths, and bus stops at locations near the stations.

In addition, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport has announced a list of bus routes connecting to Metro Line 1 Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien. Of these, there will be 61 bus routes directly connecting 14 metro stations in districts and densely populated areas in Ho Chi Minh City.
