Nghe An Press Tennis Tournament on Vietnamese Entrepreneurs Day (October 13) attracts 300 athletes

(NADS) - The Press Tennis Tournament to celebrate Vietnamese Entrepreneurs Day started on the afternoon of September 27-28 at Giao Te Court Complex, Vinh City and was a great success.

The Organizing Committee presented flowers to representatives of athletes participating in the tournament.

Attending the opening ceremony were Mr. Hoang Van Phuc - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports; Mr. Cao Nguyen Hung - Deputy Director of the Investment Promotion Center of Nghe An province. Notably, this year the tournament attracted nearly 300 athletes who are businessmen, enterprises, individuals from functional units and localities, along with journalists and reporters from local, central, domestic and foreign press agencies to participate in the tournament as well as a large number of interested spectators to follow and cheer.

Mr. Le Hong Vinh, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee awarded prizes to the athletes presenting 1400.

After 2 days of exciting competition, the couples achieved 1400 points: First Prize: Couple Duong Trong Binh - Nguyen Xuan Quan; Second Prize: Ha Duy Hieu - Tran Tho Ha; Third Prize: Couple Duong Manh Tai - Tran Cong (Nghe An Newspaper Tennis Club) and Luu Van Hung - Luong Chi Bao (Que Phong District Tennis Club).

At the 1330 level: First Prize: Ho Quang Phong (Club 473) - Nguyen Van Ty (Nghe An Newspaper Tennis Club); Second Prize: Le Sy Hoan - Cao Bac (Hong Linh Club); Third Prize: Couple Nguyen Van Tinh - Phan Thanh Linh (Nghi Loc District Tennis Club) and couple Phan Xuan Tuan - Tran Tuan (Dien Chau District Tennis Club).

Mr. Le Hong Vinh, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee awarded prizes to athletes presented at 1330.

At the end of the tournament, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes to the winning athletes and announced the preparation work to conduct a survey and select a location to support funding for the construction of a flood-crossing iron bridge for people in mountainous areas.

Mr. Le Van Thanh - Chairman of Nghe An Press Tennis Club, shared: "This is an annual tournament to create a playground, closer connection between businessmen, enterprises and press and media agencies, the tournament is also an opportunity to honor honest businessmen and enterprises, always striving in labor, production, making great contributions to the country, to the people, contributing to the country's development and prosperity. The tournament is a convergence, solidarity and brilliance, the Organizing Committee as well as the referees always stand side by side, impartial and hope that the athletes will show good will, talent, contribute to beautiful matches and plays".

Mr. Duong Manh Tai represented more than 200 athletes to take the oath.

The Organizing Committee would like to thank the departments and branches of Nghe An for creating favorable conditions for the Press Tennis Cup tournament to celebrate the Vietnamese Entrepreneurs' Day to take place as planned, attracting many athletes as well as interested, participating and accompanying fans. The Organizing Committee as well as the Nghe An Press Tennis Club are grateful for the attention of tennis federations in and outside the province, and grateful to the fans who have always accompanied through the seasons and tournaments organized by the Club - Mr. Thanh emphasized.
