Quang Tri Province Open Badminton Tournament for Age Groups 2024

This morning, August 30, at the Provincial Multi-purpose Gymnasium, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Tri organized the opening ceremony of the 2024 Quang Tri Province Open Badminton Tournament for Age Groups.

The tournament attracted more than 350 male and female athletes from 20 badminton clubs in Quang Tri province and Laccueil Badminton Club, Phu Xuan Badminton Club (Thua Thien Hue), and Hoang Quan Badminton Club (Quang Binh).

Athletes compete in 7 groups: 15 years old and under, 16-30 years old, 31-40 years old, 41-46 years old, 47-51 years old, 52-56 years old, 57 years old and over in the following categories: men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles.

The tournament is organized to evaluate the badminton training and competition movement of localities and units; create a practical and meaningful playground for athletes to exchange, share expertise, learn experiences and compete; build solidarity and mutual support between badminton clubs in and outside the province for mutual development.

Through the tournament, the aim is to discover, select and train young and promising athletes to add to the provincial badminton team, preparing forces to participate in national sports tournaments in the coming time.

Quang Tri Province Open Badminton Tournament for Age Groups 2024 takes place from August 29 to September 1, 2024.
