SJC gold bar and gold ring prices suddenly dropped sharply

(NLDO) – Each tael of SJC gold bar this morning decreased by half a million VND, to 85 million VND.

On the morning of January 7, SJC Company listed the buying price of gold bars at 83.5 million VND/tael and the selling price at 85 million VND/tael, down 500,000 VND per tael compared to yesterday. The difference between the buying and selling price of gold bars has narrowed to about 1.5 million VND/tael.

This is also the selling price of gold bars at PNJ, Mi Hong, DOJI and some commercial banks such as ACB, Sacombank, Eximbank, Vietcombank, Agribank, BIDV...

In terms of buying, the price of SJC gold bars has a difference between businesses and banks. Specifically, Mi Hong buys at 84.4 million VND/tael, ACB buys at 84 million VND/tael, while some other units list the buying price from 83.5 million to 84 million VND/tael.

Gold price today "turns around" and drops sharply

Similarly, the price of 99.99 gold rings and jewelry gold also decreased. SJC Company bought plain gold rings at VND83.5 million/tael and sold at VND84.8 million/tael, down VND500,000 per tael.

Some businesses such as PNJ, DOJI, and Mi Hong sell gold rings at a higher price, around 85 million VND/tael.

Domestic gold prices fell as world prices could no longer maintain their high levels.

In the international market, gold price today is trading at 2,638 USD/ounce, down about 10 USD/ounce compared to the previous session.

Precious metals on the international market fell as the USD continued to maintain strong growth.

The US dollar index on the international market is currently trading around 108.1 points, the highest level in the past 2 years.

According to analysts, investors are waiting for official information later this month, when Mr. Donald Trump takes office as US President and announces his new term's executive policies.

Currently, the world gold price converted according to the listed exchange rate is about 81.2 million VND/tael.
