Can Tho breaks ground on $230 million trade center to celebrate National Reunification Day

On April 17, information from the People's Committee of Can Tho City said that Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City Truong Canh Tuyen has just signed a document to send to the Government Office and the Ministry of Construction to register the project to start construction and inaugurate to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

Accordingly, Can Tho city selected four projects including: the opening of Vinmec Can Tho General Hospital of Vingroup Corporation (opened in mid-March 2025); the ceremony to announce the completion of the plan to respond to the emulation movement to join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Can Tho city (scheduled for April 24).

In addition to the above two events, the city has selected two other projects: the launching ceremony of the BESTWAY factory in VSIP Can Tho Industrial Park (scheduled for April 25) and the ceremony to grant the investment registration certificate and break ground for the Aeon Mall Can Tho commercial center project (scheduled for April 26).

It is known that the Aeon Mall Can Tho commercial center project has an investment capital of about 230 million USD, implemented in Long Hoa ward, Binh Thuy district. This is considered the largest commercial center project in the Mekong Delta.

According to the decision approving the investment policy of Can Tho City People's Committee, Hoa Lam Can Tho Investment and Development Joint Stock Company is the investor implementing this project.
