Saigon Jewelry Company listed the price of SJC gold bars at 99.5 - 101.8 million VND/tael for buying and selling, an increase of 1.1 million VND/tael in both directions compared to yesterday morning.
Other gold trading enterprises also adjusted the price of gold bars to increase sharply to 101.8 million VND/tael. This is a new record for SJC gold bars.
The price of gold rings has also increased sharply. However, today's gold ring price is only 100,000 VND/tael higher than that of gold bars. Some brands even list the price of gold rings lower than that of gold bars.
Specifically, Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited listed the price of gold rings at 99.6 - 101.9 million VND/tael for buying and selling, an increase of 700,000 VND/tael for buying and 1.2 million VND/tael for selling compared to yesterday morning.
Phu Quy Gold and Gemstone Group listed the price of gold rings at 99.3 - 101.7 million VND/tael for buying and selling.
Domestic gold prices have increased sharply as world gold prices have continuously set new records. This morning, the world gold price was listed at 3,124 USD/ounce, up 5 USD compared to yesterday afternoon.
In the currency market, the State Bank listed the central exchange rate at 24,837 VND/USD, down 6 VND compared to yesterday morning.
At commercial banks, the USD price recorded a slight decrease. Specifically, VietinBank, BIDV and Techcombank all decreased by about 5-8 VND in both buying directions compared to yesterday morning. Currently, the USD buying price at these banks fluctuates from 25,381 - 25,400 VND/USD, while the selling price is at 25,741 - 25,760 VND/USD.
In the free market, the USD price was stable at 25,860 - 25,960 VND/USD, unchanged from the previous day.
