At the Conference, Yen Bai Electricity Company quickly reported on the electricity supply situation in 2024, the electricity supply plan for 2025 and the following years, introduced the Company's electricity services, and encouraged customers to actively develop self-produced and self-consumed rooftop solar power.

2024 is considered a difficult year for the development of businesses, the electricity industry and Yen Bai Power Company, especially due to the impact of storm No. 3 and prolonged heavy rain. However, Yen Bai Power Company has successfully completed its production and business plan targets, ensuring safe, stable and quality electricity supply, serving economic and social development and people's lives in the province, with a GRDP growth rate in 2024 reaching 7.91%, ranking 7th out of 14 in the Northern Midlands and Mountains, and 25th out of 63 provinces and cities (up 11 places compared to 2023).
In the first 3 months of 2025, the maximum capacity in Yen Bai province reached 292 MW, an increase of over 12% over the same period in 2024. Commercial electricity output in the first quarter reached 331.7 million kWh, an increase of 10.32% over the same period in 2024. Of which, commercial electricity used for the construction industry was 190.58 million kWh (accounting for 57.46%, an increase of 12.58%), for consumption management was 117.73 million kWh (accounting for 35.49%, an increase of 6.93%), for business services was 9.87 million kWh (accounting for 2.98%, an increase of 15.29%) and other activities was 13.51 million kWh (accounting for 4.08%, an increase of 10.35%). The growth rate of commercial electricity in the area in 2025 is forecast to be high at over 10%.

Currently, Yen Bai's power grid is supplied with 110kV power from a 220kV transformer station; 18 hydropower plants transmit to the 110kV grid with a total capacity of 508 MW; 15 small hydropower plants transmit to the 35kV grid with a total capacity of 76.3 MW. The load growth rate in 2024 will reach over 28%, equivalent to nearly 292 MW.
Implementing synchronous power saving solutions, in 2024, Yen Bai Electricity Company signed a commitment to save electricity with over 21,250 customers with a committed power saving output of nearly 22.5 million kWh. Every month and during the peak hot months of 2024, the Company organized inspection teams to check the work of saving and efficient power use for customer groups. The total power saving output reached 26.7 million kWh.
In order to successfully implement the load demand management, load adjustment and shifting programs, in recent times, Yen Bai Electricity Company has coordinated with local authorities at all levels to synchronously deploy many solutions to raise awareness and actions of people, agencies and businesses in using electricity economically and effectively according to Directive 20 of the Prime Minister and the direction of the Provincial People's Committee. At the same time, working with customers with large electricity consumption in the area to sign agreements to participate in the load adjustment program as well as mobilizing customers to participate in the load shifting program; mobilizing customers to install self-produced and self-consumed rooftop solar power...
At the Conference, customers shared their experiences in implementing electricity supply in 2024 and coordinating with Yen Bai Electricity Company to effectively implement electricity supply in 2025. Along with that, leaders of the Department of Industry and Trade of the province introduced support programs to implement energy saving investment projects in the locality.
Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ngo Hanh Phuc acknowledged the contributions of the electricity sector to the socio-economic development of the province. He also emphasized that in the coming time, the province will continue to promote investment attraction, develop industry, trade, services and key economic sectors, which requires the electricity sector to be one step ahead, promote the application of science and technology, improve the efficiency of grid operation, ensure supply and improve service quality. Therefore, he requested the Northern Power Corporation and Yen Bai Power Company to continue to pay attention to investing in grid infrastructure in the province, ensuring safe, continuous and quality power supply; implementing technical management solutions, investing, renovating and upgrading the grid, strengthening technical management, limiting incidents, ensuring safe, stable and reliable grid operation, reducing power loss.
Along with that, pay more attention to customer care, listen to the opinions of people and businesses, promptly resolve difficulties and problems in the process of using electricity; continue to innovate strongly and synchronously, improve the process of technological innovation, modern management and high specialization, improve the quality of human resources, increase labor productivity of the industry.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested businesses to continue to join hands with the electricity industry, develop appropriate production and business plans; improve energy efficiency, improve technology, improve energy efficiency through investing in energy saving projects; research and install self-produced and self-consumed solar power systems, install electric energy storage systems, etc.
