On the morning of June 6 (the first day of the fifth lunar month), the price of Thanh Ha lychees of the main season, good quality, sold at the garden, was 85,000 VND/kg, about 60,000 VND/kg higher than the same time last year.
This is an unprecedented high price for Thanh Ha litchi in the main crop. The reason is that this year the output of litchi tea is low and sold on the first day of the festival, so the market demand is higher than usual.
Lychee is mainly grown in Ha Nam area. Due to unfavorable weather at the beginning of the year, the yield is low, lychee is sparse, ripens unevenly, and people do not harvest in a concentrated manner.
Currently, the yield of U Hong litchi (the largest early litchi variety) in Thanh Ha is no longer significant, selling for 40,000 VND/kg; hybrid litchi is 50,000 VND/kg.
