In the free market, the USD price turned to increase sharply after decreasing by 180 VND in both directions in the previous session.

This morning, foreign exchange points on the free market traded USD at a common price of 25,745-25,845 VND/USD (buy - sell), an increase of 145 VND in both directions compared to the previous session.

The State Bank announced the central exchange rate between the Vietnamese Dong and the USD today (November 7) at 24,283 VND/USD, an increase of 25 VND compared to yesterday's listed rate.

With a margin of 5%, commercial banks are allowed to trade today at a ceiling rate of VND25,497/USD and a floor rate of VND23,069/USD.

The reference USD buying and selling exchange rate is still maintained by the State Bank of Vietnam at the range of 23,400-25,450 VND/USD.

USD prices at commercial banks today were adjusted up in the selling direction, while the buying direction had mixed developments.

On the selling side, the USD selling price at commercial banks increased by 27 VND compared to yesterday's listed price and was listed at the ceiling price of 25,497 VND/USD.

On the buying side, many banks adjusted the greenback price up, but some banks also slightly decreased it, while some banks kept it the same.

This morning, Vietcombank listed the USD cash buying price at 25,167 VND/USD, an increase of 27 VND compared to the beginning of yesterday's trading session (November 6).

Similarly, compared to early this morning, BIDV also increased the greenback price by 27 VND, bringing the USD buying price to 25,197 VND/USD. Meanwhile, VietinBank raised the USD buying price to 25,221 VND/USD, an increase of 3 VND.

In the private banking sector, the USD buying price has mixed developments.

Compared to early this morning, Techcombank lowered the USD buying price by 2 VND, to 25,205 VND/USD.

Meanwhile, Sacombank increased the USD buying price to 25,210 VND/USD, 40 VND more expensive.

ACB and Eximbank kept the same USD buying price since yesterday morning. ACB listed the USD cash buying price at 25,180 VND/USD. Eximbank maintained the USD cash buying price at 25,170 VND/USD.

The US dollar price on the international market has slowed down after rising to a 4-month high yesterday. The greenback price increased sharply after the US announced the results of the presidential election.

The US Dollar Index (measuring the greenback's fluctuations against six major currencies) at 12:04 on November 7 (Vietnam time) was at 104.97 points, down 0.11% compared to the previous session.
