An Giang Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee visited two Khmer Theravada pagodas in Tinh Bien Town.

- On the morning of April 9, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of An Giang Provincial Party Committee Le Hong Quang led the working delegation of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to visit, congratulate, and present gifts on the occasion of Chol Chnam Thmay 2025 at 2 Khmer Theravada pagodas in Tinh Bien Town. Accompanying him were the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; leaders of departments, branches, and units; Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and People's Committee of Tinh Bien Town.

The abbot of the pagodas informed about the religious situation at the pagodas and the lives of the people.

The delegation visited and congratulated at Thom Ma Ni Mith Pagoda (Vinh Trung Commune) and My A Pagoda (Nui Voi Ward). At each destination, Secretary of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee Le Hong Quang expressed his excitement when listening to the abbot of the pagodas give an overview of the religious situation, the implementation of policies and guidelines by Buddhists and local Khmer ethnic minorities.

Comrade Le Hong Quang informed about the socio-economic development situation of An Giang province in 2024 and the first quarter of 2025. Despite facing many difficulties and challenges from the world and the country, with the determination and consensus of the entire political system, the province's economy grew higher than the national average; culture and society continuously developed, people's lives were increasingly improved, national defense and security were maintained; the construction of new rural areas and social security were given attention and had good development directions. The biggest highlight is that An Giang has just been recognized by UNESCO as the Festival of Ba Chua Xu Mountain Sam - An Giang on the list of Representative Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity...

An Giang Provincial Party Secretary Le Hong Quang affirmed that the achievements of An Giang province in recent times have had great contributions from the entire political system, all classes of people, including Khmer Southern pagodas, monks, Buddhists. In the coming time, An Giang will focus on streamlining the organization according to the policies of the Party and State. This is a period of transformation of the country, the nation, and the locality, aiming to better serve the people. However, this is also an environment for hostile forces to sabotage and distort the truth. With precious traditions and a long-standing culture, An Giang people in general and Khmer ethnic minorities in particular need to continue to unite and unanimously fight against bad arguments; clearly understand the correct policies, and agree with local authorities to arrange the apparatus and administrative units at all levels. From there, unite and unify to build the province increasingly rich and beautiful, worthy of tradition.

On this occasion, Secretary of Tinh Bien Town Party Committee Nguyen Hong Duc also sent gifts to congratulate the pagodas.
