Rice price today April 12: Market is quiet

As for by-products, the price of by-products fluctuates from 6,600 - 9,000 VND/kg. Currently, broken rice 3-4 has increased by 100 VND/kg, fluctuating at 6,650 - 6,800 VND/kg; the price of bran fluctuates at 8,000 - 9,000 VND/kg.

Recorded in localities today, fragrant and sticky rice tends to decrease slightly, transactions are slow. In An Giang, the quantity is small, the demand for warehouse purchases is slow, prices fluctuate little. In Lap Vo (Dong Thap), the quantity is sporadic, warehouse transactions are still slow, prices are stable.

Sa Dec market canal (Dong Thap), the quantity is small, the warehouse continues to buy slowly, rice is selected, the price is stable. At An Cu (Cai Be, Tien Giang), the quantity is small, the warehouse still buys slowly, the price does not fluctuate much.

At retail markets, the prices of all types of rice remained unchanged compared to yesterday. Currently, regular rice fluctuates at 15,500 - 16,000 VND/kg; Nang Nhen rice has the highest listed price of 28,000 VND/kg; long-grain fragrant rice fluctuates at 20,000 - 22,000 VND/kg; Huong Lai rice 22,000 VND/kg; Jasmine fragrant rice fluctuates at 18,000 - 20,000 VND/kg; Nang Hoa rice is at 22,000 VND/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice is at 21,000 VND/kg; common white rice is at 17,000 VND/kg; Soc regular rice fluctuates at 18,000 VND/kg; Soc Thai rice is at 21,000 VND/kg; Japanese rice is at 22,000 VND/kg.

In many localities today, transactions of fragrant dry rice and flat dry rice slowed down, prices were stable. In An Giang and Can Tho, transactions of buying and selling fresh rice of all kinds remained slow. In Long An, demand for buying was low, with few buyers.

In Bac Lieu, farmers' fresh ST rice prices are high, demand has slowed down, and many areas of fragrant rice have been reserved. In Tra Vinh, farmers are offering less rice for sale, and rice recovery has decreased.

In the export market, Vietnam's rice export prices today decreased slightly compared to mid-week. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), currently 5% standard rice is at 397 USD/ton (down 2 USD/ton); 25% broken rice is at 369 USD/ton; 100% broken rice is at 317 USD/ton.
