Impersonating a police officer to deceive a female student in Hue

On June 25, the Criminal Police Team, Hue City Police (Thua Thien Hue Province), said it had clarified the subject involved in the act of using fake documents and seals of organizations.

Previously, Hue City Police received a report from Ms. PTNQ (20 years old, a student at a local university) about a person claiming to be an officer of the general investigation team of the unit.

The subject, who called himself Ho Sy Nguyen, contacted Ms. Q. and gave her a police card with a picture of him in uniform, a summons, took her phone number and made several appointments with her at a coffee shop to work.

The Criminal Police Team, Hue City Police quickly organized forces to verify the subject impersonating Van Huu Long (27 years old, residing in Thuy Bang commune, Hue city).

At the police station, Long confessed that his purpose was to impersonate a police officer to approach female students with bad intentions.

Long went to a photocopy shop to take pictures of the above documents to make fake ones.

The police agency continues to consolidate the case file and handle Van Huu Long and related people according to the provisions of the law.
