LaMode Fashion Show 2024 (LaMode fashion show) returns with unique, artistic designs, completed by high school students. The show attracts the attention of fashion enthusiasts and has the participation of singer Nhac Cua Trang, 52Hz...

The theme of the show is "Resonance" inspired by the division between social classes - the source of darkness and injustice always hidden under the glamorous cover. The collection poses two different world scenarios, taking the attendees on a hypothetical journey and finding for themselves the appropriate answer about a dream society.

After the show, Bui Nhat Minh - a 12th grade student of Geography, the general director of the show - expressed his joy and pride in successfully organizing the fashion show. Nhat Minh revealed to Dan Tri reporter that the crew of 120-130 members had been preparing since December 2023.

"This is not just my own design collection. I have to make sure that the nearly 30 members of the design team understand the ideas and messages I want to convey through each collection. I have to understand thoroughly and deeply, but you still have your own space to be creative," said the male student.

Make dreams come true

To increase diversity and please members, Nhat Minh said he had to change himself, carry out ideas and content that were not his forte.

"For a long time, I didn't have any definite ideas. Luckily, I finally finished this idea about 2-3 weeks before the show took place," the general director shared.

Nhat Minh and his colleagues want to take the club beyond the framework of a high school student club and towards professional fashion. The male student hopes that future generations can continue this message.

Not only attracting the attention of fashion lovers, the show also had the participation of parents. Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy - mother of model Pham Thao Nguyen, a 12th grade student at Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted - expressed her pride in her daughter after the show ended.

She said this was the second year her daughter had participated in the program. Through the events, she saw the capacity, dynamism and maturity of the students in the school. Preparations from planning, design, model training to backstage photography were all carried out early.

"Resonance" features more than 60 costumes, presented in four parts, reflecting different perspectives.

In the first part, the series of designs was inspired by modern villas and the luxurious life of the upper class. From there, it depicted a contrasting picture of a poor spiritual life on the background of material and massive assets.

The outfits come in white, grey and black, with materials including organza, cotton, taffeta and cool elastic.

In the second part, the audience can see costumes on linen, felt, and parachute fabrics, with the main colors being brown and beige.

Joining the club since 2022, Thuc Anh found that this year's program is more organized and has more innovative ideas. However, she affirmed that each season has its own uniqueness.

LaMode Fashion Club was founded and run by students of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted with the desire to inspire passion for fashion, while fully exploiting the creative limits of talented young people through the club's events and collections.
