On April 4, the Provincial Veterans Association (CCB) held a meeting with veteran delegates and former youth volunteers (TNXP) on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025); 35th anniversary of the establishment of the Provincial Veterans Association (April 5, 1990 - April 5, 2025). Attending the meeting were comrade Tran Quoc Toan, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council.
At the meeting, delegates reviewed the glorious victory of our army and people in the resistance war against the US to save the country; the achievements in socio-economic development after 50 years of liberating the South and unifying the country; and the tradition of the Hung Yen War Veterans Association since its establishment.
After 35 years of establishment, the War Veterans Association at all levels in the province has mobilized members to unite and promote the tradition of "Uncle Ho's soldiers". The Association at all levels has done well in credit activities for members to borrow capital to develop production and create jobs, with a total amount of more than 376 billion VND; supporting the construction of new rural areas with a total amount of more than 16 billion VND. Speaking at the meeting, comrade Tran Quoc Toan, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council expressed his respect and deep gratitude to the war veterans and former Youth Volunteers who participated in the resistance war against the US to save the country. He emphasized that half a century ago, under the leadership of the Party, with the spirit of "Nothing is more precious than independence and freedom", our army and people achieved the historic victory on April 30, 1975, gloriously ending the war resistance war against the US to save the country, unifying the country, opening an era of independence, unity and development. Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Quoc Toan hoped that the war veterans and former Youth Volunteers in the whole province would continue to promote the heroic and indomitable tradition, the will to be self-reliant, and contribute their intelligence to the overall development of the province.
