On April 8, 2025, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Honorary Chairman of the Provincial Red Cross Society Nguyen Duy Hung issued a letter calling for support for resources to implement the "Humanitarian Month" in 2025. The content is as follows:
Over the years, all levels, sectors, organizations, individuals and philanthropists have always paid attention to, coordinated and accompanied the Red Cross Society at all levels of Hung Yen province in social security and poverty reduction work in the province. Implementing the "Humanitarian Month" in 2024, 6,794 beneficiaries in the province were supported with a value of 4 billion 697 million VND.
On behalf of the staff, members and volunteers of the Red Cross Society at all levels in Hung Yen province, I would like to express my sincere thanks and acknowledge the sentiments and kindness of those who have joined hands to support, help and care for the poor, the disadvantaged, orphans and victims of Agent Orange in the area, contributing to the effective implementation of the social security policy of Hung Yen province.
According to statistics, Hung Yen province still has thousands of poor households, households in difficult circumstances, victims of Agent Orange, disadvantaged people, and orphans who need attention, support, and help to overcome difficulties and escape poverty sustainably.
Implementing the direction of the Central Party Secretariat in Official Dispatch No. 12665-CV/VPTW dated July 30, 2020; Plan No. 60/KH-TUHCTD dated February 6, 2025 of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society on implementing the "Humanitarian Month" in 2025, the Provincial Red Cross Society organized the launch of the Peak Month of mobilizing resources to implement the "Humanitarian Month" in 2025, from April 10, 2025 to May 31, 2025, with the spirit of "Humanitarian Journey - Spreading Love".
On this occasion, I call on agencies, organizations, businesses, armed forces officers and soldiers, cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers, and individuals inside and outside the province, with their affection, compassion, and responsibility, to continue to care for, join hands to contribute, and support the building of a "Humanitarian Fund" to support and care for the poor, the disadvantaged, people in especially difficult circumstances, orphans, and victims of Agent Orange in the province.
