According to report No. 1259/STC dated March 31, 2025 of the Department of Finance of Nghe An province, the whole province currently has 278 houses and land used as offices and public service facilities that are not used, used ineffectively, or used for the wrong purpose.
Specifically, there are 12 houses and land facilities of central agencies and units that have been transferred to Nghe An province for management and handling. These working offices are concentrated in Vinh city and districts such as: Old headquarters of the State Treasury of Que Phong district; Old headquarters of the provincial court; Headquarters of the State Treasury in Tan Ky town...
There are 3 housing and land facilities under provincial management including: Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Department (Facility in Hamlet 9, Dien Thinh Commune, Dien Chau; Facility in Hamlet Tan Xuan, Quynh Bang Commune, Quynh Luu District); Nghia Dan - Thai Hoa Forest Protection Department
There are 190 housing and land facilities under district management that have had their arrangement plans approved but have not yet implemented the arrangement plans or the arrangement plans are not suitable, so the plans cannot be implemented.
There are 73 housing and land facilities under district management that have not yet had their arrangement plans approved.
In order to deal with the above situation, the People's Committee of Nghe An province issued Plan No. 224/KH-UBND (April 2, 2025) on handling unused, ineffectively used, and improperly used offices and public service facilities of agencies, organizations, and units under the management of Nghe An province.
Nghe An Provincial People's Committee requests agencies, organizations, units and localities to focus on implementing the review and synthesis of public assets such as working offices and public service facilities assigned to manage but currently not in use, used ineffectively, used for the wrong purpose but not yet approved for handling or approved for handling but not suitable to prepare a report to submit to competent authorities for consideration and decision on handling in accordance with the provisions of law on management and use of public assets and related laws.
Nghe An Provincial People's Committee has assigned the Department of Finance to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the Department of Construction and other agencies and units to inspect the current status and appraise the handling plan to submit to the Provincial People's Committee for approval of the plan and decision to handle public assets in accordance with regulations.
At the same time, strictly handle the responsibility of organizations and individuals who let the situation of working offices and career facilities not being used or being used for the wrong purpose, causing waste of human resources.
