In Huong Son district, heavy rain and the rapid rise of the Ngan Pho River have caused many roads and bridges to be partially flooded. This morning, 3 schools including Son Linh Kindergarten, Son Kim 2 Kindergarten and Son Kim 2 Primary School had about 1,000 students absent from school.
Head of the Department of Education and Training of Huong Son district - Nguyen Truong Giang said that at other schools, some children in remote areas, at risk of flooding and flash floods, were also proactively allowed by their parents to stay home from school to ensure safety.
In particular, some parents from other schools, worried about the floodwaters causing separation, proactively came to pick up their children early. Some schools are located in low-lying areas, and teachers are also cleaning up their belongings to prevent damage caused by the flood.
