Deeply aware of the importance of ethnic work and great national unity, in recent years, the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee have focused on leading, directing, and implementing the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws related to ethnic minorities and mountainous areas in a synchronous, timely and effective manner, especially the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development (SEDP) in Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas for the 2021-2025 period. Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas in the province have absolute confidence in the Party's leadership, promoted revolutionary traditions, solidarity, actively participated in patriotic emulation movements, and joined hands to build their homeland to develop more and more. In particular, there are more and more prestigious people, village chiefs, key cadres, intellectuals, businessmen, students, and ethnic minority youth who are truly exemplary examples of solidarity, learning, training, diligence, creativity, overcoming difficulties and rising up in labor, production, business, legitimate enrichment, preserving and promoting national cultural identity, having influence in the community, being a bridge between ethnic minorities and party committees and authorities at all levels, making important contributions to the socio-economic fields, building the political apparatus, ensuring national defense and security, and consolidating the great solidarity bloc of ethnic minorities in the province. Thanks to that, the poverty rate in ethnic minority and mountainous areas has decreased by over 4% annually.
Speaking at the conference, Comrade Nguyen Long Bien, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, praised the achievements and important contributions of typical and progressive collectives and individuals among ethnic minorities and mountainous people in the past time. He hoped that ethnic minorities and mountainous people in the province would continue to trust and wholeheartedly follow the Party, promote the strength of ethnic solidarity, enthusiastically compete in labor, production, study, practice, work, join hands and hearts with the Party Committee and people in the province to successfully implement development goals, especially in sustainable poverty reduction, improving people's knowledge, preserving and promoting good traditions, cultural identity, and building new rural areas.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested Party committees, authorities, Fatherland Fronts, and organizations to step up propaganda and raise awareness among cadres, party members, and people, especially ethnic minorities, to properly implement the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws. Focus on improving people's knowledge, training human resources, eliminating hunger, reducing poverty, and building a strong political system, ensuring people's security and national defense.
