According to the Hai Duong Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board, as of May 14, the North-South axis road of Thanh Mien district has basically completed 5 out of 6.06 km of asphalt concrete pavement under the layer, the remaining sections are under construction of large box culverts across the road, and construction of loading and treatment of weak soil. The estimated construction has reached about 65% of the work volume. The project is expected to be completed and open to traffic in December 2024.
Currently, the project's site clearance work also includes compensation for ATAD Steel Structure Joint Stock Company in Binh Giang district and 4 households in Hong Quang commune (Thanh Mien) whose residential land is recovered within the intersection with Provincial Road 393.
The North-South axis road of Thanh Mien district is 6.06 km long. The starting point intersects with road 392 (at km10+370), in Nhan Quyen commune (Binh Giang), the ending point at km6+60.45 connects with the East-West axis road (about km 4+500) in Lam Son commune (Thanh Mien).
Phase 1 of the project has a scale of a level III plain road with a roadbed width of 12 m, road surface of 11 m, design speed of 80 km/h; total investment of 397.81 billion VND.
This project helps Thanh Mien district connect with the Hanoi - Hai Phong highway and the province's East - West axis, forming a main axis linking the districts of Binh Giang, Thanh Mien, Ninh Giang, Tu Ky and strengthening traffic connections between Hai Duong and Hung Yen provinces, contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of Thanh Mien district and the southern region of Hai Duong province.
