Railway has 11 more high-quality passenger cars

On the afternoon of December 25, the Vietnam Railway Transport Joint Stock Company held a ceremony to put up a plaque to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Railways Party Committee (April 6, 1955 - April 6, 2025).

This is a project to upgrade and renovate 11 high-quality passenger cars (AnL28) carried out by Saigon Cargo Branch, expected to run on the Saigon - Nha Trang route with a total capital of more than 25.5 billion VND.

The project started on September 1, 2024 with 125 workers participating. The interior and exterior of the carriages are designed with many advantages. For example, in terms of paint color, the outer walls and roof are meticulously crafted, the carriages are painted in gray-white and blue with the main image of the crane on the Dong Son bronze drum, a symbol associated with Vietnamese culture. The carriages all have paintings and art photos of the country's natural landscapes and architecture in each region the train passes through so that passengers can take souvenir photos of their train experience. The ceilings and walls of the carriages are made of new composite; the toilet area is spacious and equipped with new equipment such as ceramic toilets with integrated water discharge systems combined with an anaerobic microbial treatment system; Ceramic sinks combined with cast stone tables and floors; The cold air supply and ventilation system includes high-capacity exhaust fans combined with air duct systems to eliminate odors on the train. The washing room area is supplied with direct cold air and equipped with a floating ceramic lavatory system, high-class faucets, sensor-lit mirrors, and luxurious hand dryers that harmoniously combine paintings, drawings, and art to create a lively space. The door system and the entrance doors have been improved and equipped with additional automatic and stable devices, eliminating the unpleasant feeling caused by the sounds caused by the doors colliding or shaking... According to the leader of the Railway Transport Joint Stock Company, due to the large amount of work and the short time it took to complete, the construction unit has combined periodic repairs, changed the structure of the car body, and rearranged the entire floor from 80 seats to 7 rooms with 28 beds and 01 staff room. At the same time, it is necessary to completely demolish the floor, car surface, rearrange the columns, windows, and corrugated iron walls of the car, the toilet, the electrical cabinet, etc., especially renewing the air ducts and distributing the cold air of the car. To ensure progress, leaders of the units encouraged workers to organize overtime, working extra hours on Saturdays and Sundays.
