Khanh Hoa tourism wins big, international visitors surpass domestic visitors

On March 31, information from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Khanh Hoa said that in the first 3 months of 2025, the whole province welcomed more than 2.5 million visitors, an increase of 19.7% over the same period in 2024. Total revenue from tourists in the first quarter of 2025 is estimated at more than 13,850 billion VND, an increase of nearly 21.8% over the same period last year. This is a positive signal, showing the strong recovery of Khanh Hoa tourism.

A notable highlight is the remarkable growth in the number of international visitors, because out of the 2.5 million visitors mentioned above, there were more than 1.3 million foreign visitors (an increase of 12.5% ​​over the same period), higher than domestic visitors.

The Russian tourist market is showing signs of strong recovery, with charter flights from 11 Russian cities to Khanh Hoa.

Mr. Nguyen Van Nhuan, Director of Khanh Hoa Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said that this growth was thanks to the increase in direct flights and cruise ships bringing international visitors to Khanh Hoa. In particular, the Russian tourist market is showing signs of strong recovery, with the opening of the Moscow - Cam Ranh route by Aeroflot and charter flights from 11 Russian cities operated by Anex Vietnam Company in cooperation with Azur Air. In the coming time, the number of Russian visitors to Khanh Hoa will increase sharply, with 50 - 55 flights/month in April; from July to the end of 2025, it will increase to 90 - 100 flights/month.

In addition, the Kazakhstan tourist market is also expected to have good growth, when Air Astana operates flights on Almaty - Cam Ranh and Astana - Cam Ranh with a frequency of 14 flights/week.

In addition to the growth of international visitors, the number of domestic visitors to Khanh Hoa also grew impressively, reaching more than 1.2 million, up 28.9% over the same period last year. In 2025, Khanh Hoa tourism industry aims to welcome 11.8 million visitors, including 5.2 million international visitors, 6.6 million domestic visitors, tourism revenue reaching 60,000 billion VND.
