Specifically, the price of SJC gold bars was listed by Saigon Jewelry Company Limited - SJC and DOJI Group at 97.1-100.1 million VND/tael (buy - sell), down 1.7 million VND/tael in buying - down 1.2 million VND/tael in selling compared to yesterday.
At Mi Hong Jewelry Company, the price of Mi Hong gold at the time of survey was listed at 99.3-100.8 million VND/tael for buying and selling. Compared to yesterday, the gold price decreased by 300,000 VND/tael for buying and 700,000 VND/tael for selling compared to yesterday.
SJC gold price at Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited is traded by businesses at 97.2-100.1 million VND/tael (buying - selling, down 1.6 million VND/tael in buying direction - down 1.2 million VND/tael in selling direction compared to yesterday.
In the past 2 days, the price of gold bars has lost about 2.7 million VND/tael and is moving away from the record peak.

Regarding ring gold, the price of 9999 Hung Thinh Vuong round ring gold at DOJI is listed at 96.7-100.1 million VND/tael (buy - sell); down 1.8 million VND/tael in buying - down 1.2 million VND/tael in selling compared to yesterday.
Bao Tin Minh Chau listed the price of gold rings at 97.5-100.5 million VND/tael (buy - sell); down 1.3 million VND/tael for buying - down 800,000 VND/tael for selling.

At the end of the weekend trading session, the gold price today stopped at 3,038 USD/ounce, losing a total of about 80 USD/ounce compared to the previous session. Compared to the record peak, the gold price decreased by about 130 USD/ounce (about 4 million VND/tael).
According to analysts, strong profit-taking pressure from the market has caused gold prices to be sold off and difficult to predict at this time. Currently, the world gold price converted according to the listed exchange rate is about 95 million VND/tael.
Still, gold prices have risen about 15.3% year-to-date, thanks to strong demand from central banks and its role as a safe haven from economic and geopolitical uncertainty. "Despite the volatility, gold remains a safe haven for many investors," said Matt Simpson, an expert at City Index.
US Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell said Mr Trump's new tariffs were "higher than expected" and could lead to higher inflation and slower growth. Meanwhile, the USD index rose 0.7%, making gold more expensive for foreign investors.
Overall, while gold prices may continue to be volatile in the short term due to economic and political factors, the long-term outlook still shows an upward trend, especially as gold continues to act as a safe-haven asset amid global uncertainty.
Domestic gold prices often fluctuate according to world market trends, so SJC gold may decrease in the morning trading session on April 6.
| Despite the fall in gold prices, experts remain positive about the outlook for gold prices in 2025. HSBC has raised its 2025 average gold price forecast to $3,015 an ounce, up from its previous forecast of $2,687 an ounce, due to geopolitical tensions and global economic uncertainty. Similarly, Capital Economics forecasts that gold prices could surpass $3,300 an ounce by the end of 2025. |
