Gold prices fall, but remain at historic highs
Gold price today, at 3:00 p.m. on April 11, domestic gold price increased to an unprecedented record high. Saigon Jewelry Company Limited - SJC is listing SJC gold price at 102.7 - 105.7 million VND/tael for buying and selling.
Bao Tin Minh Chau listed SJC gold price at 102.7 - 105.7 million VND/tael for buying and selling.
At the same time, the price of gold rings is being bought by Bao Tin Minh Chau at 100.9 million VND/tael and sold at 104.5 million VND/tael.

Compared to 10:33 a.m. the same day, the price of SJC gold has cooled down. It has dropped from the peak of 106.4 million VND/tael for sale to 105.7 million VND/tael, a decrease of 700,000 VND.
The price of gold rings was also adjusted from 105.4 million VND/tael for sale to 104.4 million VND/tael. The price of gold rings decreased by 1 million VND/tael for sale.
As of 3:00 p.m. this afternoon, April 11, the gold price has dropped far from the 106 million VND/tael mark, however, the current price of gold is still at its historical peak. The selling price of gold is at 105.7 million VND/tael, which is a record high for gold prices.
More gold buyers than sellers
In the world, the price of gold is standing around the mark of 3,207 USD/ounce. The world price of gold today increased very strongly in the context of the US stock market once again being shaken by concerns about the daily changing tariff policies.
Geopolitical instability and tariff policies have prompted investors to shift from investing in stocks to investing in gold. This sentiment has also partly pushed up gold prices.
Domestically, statistics from Bao Tin Minh Chau show that this morning, when the price of gold increased to an unprecedented high, the number of customers coming to buy and sell gold at the company's stores was 60% buying gold, 40% selling.
On the contrary, in the context of unprecedented high gold prices, many domestic investors lined up to sell gold to take profits.
Ms. Hoang Lan (Cau Giay, Hanoi) said that on God of Wealth Day 2025, she bought 5 taels of gold rings from Bao Tin Minh Chau at a price of about 90 million VND/tael both for luck and for investment. However, up to now, the price of gold has increased beyond expectations, each tael of gold has made a profit of more than 1 million VND.
